Ooh well done there. Yes!! (Although I hear things aren't as bad lately - I don't wander over here much, though.)

Gillian Jacobs the person is Jezebel's (apparent?) ... spirit animal (even though that's an awful term to use here). Not Britta. Britta is loveable because she's terrible. She's there to mock the ignorance of privileged white feminism, hence the quote you have above there!
Wow!!
I think you are JUST as dirty-minded as the average bear, considering this was such a popular 'blooper'! I get what Sea Auld Lang Syne is saying, in that it would be easy for her to not realize what she's doing at the time, but I highly doubt she saw it later with such innocence. Hah!
HAhahahaha
This. All of this.
Yes! Agreed.
Thanks! I've seen a lot of people argue that 'Jewish' is an ethnicity and not Caucasian, but I'm just gonna back off this one.
It's in quotes, from the article! I just thought it was funny. This was a jokey comment.
Hirsutism? Wtf?
Eyebrows, cheekbones, eyes, and foreheads are not racialized body parts either. They clearly didn't choose the skin colour of each piece or it would look ridiculous, even if all white women.
Well, I wouldn't conflate celebrity privilege with white privilege, nor would I say someone is white because they have privilege, and we obviously have no clue how to separate her privileges. Her skin colour is a point to joke about in her work, meaning no, she does not fit the default white girl required to have no…
Maybe? We'll see how the styling/designing goes. There are certainly teens within those size ranges. "Plus size" stores usually seem styled for 40+ year old women. I kind of hope this one is a little different...
Is Mila Kunis 'white'? Am I going to get destroyed for asking that? Jewish Ukrainian background isn't quite "dominant majority white" to me, and characters in her movies often make jokes about how "exotic" (read: not white) she looks. Ex. Ted. And 'eyes' are a pretty fundamental part of a face.
Oh, I noticed that (and her eyes ARE gorgeous!), I just think a chin is funnier for some reason. Particularly for a woman who is so frequently represented as the height of sex appeal.
I wonder if they even asked about ethnicity and/or skin tone? Not all of the celebrities whose bits were taken for these are white.
Things to take away from this article:
Might be worth an ETA to add this from the Elle article:
I kind of like it, though. Because they're structured differently. It isn't like "oh, this t-shirt is available in sizes 00-32" like Old Navy, which is... less than stylish. If these are the SAME clothes in bigger sizes? Yes. But this sounds like its own clothing line.
Absolutely. And quite the leap to say "millenial women are wrong, though, because the pay gap isn't so big now".
