Hm. I know he does that, but I haven’t heard that anybody much gets upset about that. For that matter, Louis CK and Patton Oswalt also have both done that a lot (Patton doesn’t any more, I don’t think?), and I don’t remember hearing much about people getting upset about that, except at the fringes. (note - I’m not

Wait...really? I thought the point of the clicker was to partially replace the treats.

What did Janeane Garofalo do?

Oh my god. I know this wasn’t new information to me, but just the phrase “way back in Season 20" triggered the fuck out of me.

It’s not the most substantial argument, but chewing on it has given me some new thought about the famous internet upstorm when Roger Ebert claimed video games can’t be art, which I think actually is a pretty interesting discussion. Something like this episode, which to me is pretty clearly “art” but is also pretty

I was debating elsewhere on the internets the idea that there’s no good definition of the term “video game’ that doesn’t encompass Bandersnatch. When you say its different than a video game, what do you have in mind?

So one of those Mayostard creeps got to you too, huh?

Do you...get a lot of recommendations for white supremacists videos?

So many of them think Rick is a hero and think they can be like him, but just end up being a Jerry.

It’s not like we were that much less “woke” four years ago, that you can cite “different times, different standards.” Or maybe we weren’t, fuck me if I know any more.

It’s weird, I can actually hear the voice he’s using in that photo, just from the lean and the set of his jaw.

I too find typing to be very soothing.

Not responding being, of course, not an option. I have considered your original point, and you’ve brought me around actually: I agree that if you have no facility for language at all, you’re going to have very little control over the “vibe” your posts give off.

Diction and tone are separate, and only one matters, got it. Dumbest post I’ve read on this site this year.

I tried having this argument before, that it’s really stupid to say what hair color and wardrobe “should” logically look like in a completely made up alien culture where magic green elves have laser swords. The response was, “Yeah, but the *audience* is human, so the director should have known we would judge their

Wizard did it.

I got a little choked up. I believe myself that a part of life is a preparation for what comes next, but I lose sight of it in the moment, and don’t do a great job of living that belief. How wonderful to be reminded of it with such poignancy and gentleness.

Not at all the vibe I’m getting from your posts, but your permission means the world.

And that’s allowed! We are allowed to see things differently.

I don’t see not wanting to be touched by a stranger as all that irrational, or all that atypical.
