That rushing sound you hear is the thrust of my point sailing over your head.

My mistake, it looks like it was Tumblr, not twitter. I would still say that’s way more public than laughing with your coworkers behind office doors (disclaimer: I don’t use Tumblr, so I don’t know how privacy settings on it work, but since it was accessible to the media, I’m assuming it was pretty publically

>>Why? You don’t think doctors/dentists etc. talk about you after you leave?

I defer to your obvious unassailable expertise in the realm of what’s reasonable. I was under the impression that opinions could differ, I didn’t realize it was a settled matter. Please continue writing multi-paragraph screeds about how not-triggered you are.

That analogy is bad and you should feel bad.

These responses seem to have touched a nerve with you. It’s not really up to you do decide how “unsettling” this is. It wouldn’t have upset you, great. It didn’t upset the girl, not for more than a moment anyway. As a counterpoint, I can tell you that I would be unsettled if I saw my doctor tweeting about something

I’ve literally not had McDonalds in years that I can remember.

That does not make me less grumpy! :0

I haven’t had McDonalds in a while, but from what I remember, Wendy’s advertising would have to be pretty bad indeed for me to choose the Golden Arches over it. Like, “if you don’t buy this burger we’ll kill this dog” bad.

““Perfectly fine” is pretty weak stuff.”

Yeah...I shouldn’t have said “legal,” I really didn’t think it through. Really shitty though.

I’ve often wondered why all those Jews got killed in Schindler’s List. It comes across as kind of gratuitious onscreen, and more than a little cliche at this point.

Unless the director is trying to film something patently unfilmable/unworkable, “because the book was that way” is actually a perfectly fine reason for why something is in a movie. Just because you think you have a more clever idea about how a character should have been developed doesn’t make the character development

I THINK you’re joking, but I haven’t read them in a while...

Not to be a grumpy gus, but is nobody else bothered that this doctor is posting some girl’s medical information on fucking Twitter? Is that even legal? That would piss me right off, and I’m a 40-year-old man who doesn’t really give a shit. If I were 17, I think I would be really upset by this.

I have many fond memories of reading these books to my kids. What was really awesome: my kids were born 18 months apart. So my the time my son had completely ripped, torn, drooled on, bent, broken, berated, and otherwise utterly worn out his own copy of, say, “Mud Pie for Mother” or “Tiger Can’t Sleep,” a new copy

All I know about David O. Russell I learned from that Mike Birbiglia bit about the time he REALLY offended David O. Russell by doing an IHH joke at an awards show.

No body function is embarrassing if you have no shame.

My kids love BMO, and I have to admit, I never find him not funny. Is “inner child” part of the Freudian model? That’s who BMO is.

“I don’t know what punished even means.”
