Like most of his films, the movie moves at a very measured pace, and that either works for you or it doesn’t. If you like the slower pace, you get to immerse yourself in the world. If you don’t, the movie takes forever to get anywhere and by the time it does, you might no longer care.”

I had no idea they were doing a live-action How to Train Your Dragon remake.

Sadly, it is not the insane and amazing Nick Cave script from twenty years ago, which had Maximus being resurrected by the gods and becoming an immortal, and ended with him as a general at the Pentagon.

I just saw Dune for the first time last Friday. And yeah, the pace is positively glacial, but it worked for me because I was expecting lore, not plot, and that’s what I got. It was a movie more about immersing you in a world than telling a story. I can’t say it worked for all of Villeneuve works though.

Around Massachusetts, Treehouse and Trillium have become huge craft breweries with national reputation on the strength of the NEIPA that are hop bombs you hate so much. People like the hazy IPAs my friend.

Having seen both Blade Runner 2049, which was “good,” and Alien: Covenant, which was very much “not good,” I’m comfortable with the way things worked out. Scott has some very high highs, it’s true, but his full body of work is decidedly spotty, especially in recent years.

Any point he might have is ruined by deciding to go “The trans people have had it too good for too long, I’m going to put them in their place.”

I do have a soft spot for Conan the Destroyer. It’s so dumb it’s hilarious. I especially love Grace Jones, the absolute inane dialogue they gave the princess, and the scene with drunk Conan.

I am so very ready to watch this while so very high

The Basil Poledouris soundtrack deserves its own slideshow, but it at least deserved a shout out in the introduction.

I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll say it again, but blaming superhero movies for the death of midbudget movies feels like blaming the cockroaches for the nuclear winter. They’re not the core problem with theater releases, they’re just the thing that can survive in the current environment.

By Crom I’ll have to check this out! Also time to queue up the score as well :)

If they do another musical episode, it needs more K(lingon)-Pop. Possibly a crossover Klingon and Gorn song Gornam Style

Seeing as the Gorn seem to be the recurring bad guys for SNW, when can we expect an episode called Gorn with the Wind?

All the trash comedies that came out in the early ‘00s ruined comedy. Studios started making ‘Scary Movie’ knockoffs that were trash, audiences stopped going to them so studios figured comedies don’t make money anymore and stopped making them.

Next up, from an Australian movie studio “Cocaine Drop Bear” with the tag line “High Koalaty”

Don’t forget “He was no angel before this.”

“He was getting aggressive.”

Isn’t it funny how “race wars” and “race riots” are almost always started by white people? And I’m a white guy so I get to hear the shit you people say behind their backs.

let’s get these out of the way:
“Try that in a small town”
“They should have just complied”

What else?
