Honestly I one of the things I liked most about it was how it wasnt written from a western point of view or for a western audience. The character conventions and plot devices were at times really challenging and unexpected.

And they are almost always bad faith arguments about it too.   But occasionally you get someone who has seen the argument elsewhere and adopted it without much thought.

The Batman comes really close. While I dont love the movie, I do really like that it was 100% about him learning that being about Vengeance is the thing that makes the serial killer ridler identify with him, and that he needed to find a better way, to try ot be a hero, etc. . . .
