From what I see Jeff Sneider, an “Insider” made the claim on his podcast. The movie originally was set in the 90's to align with Garfields Spiderman, but the reshoots were done to remove any mention of the era and allow it to fit more with Tom Holland.

Will it still get top billing?

I guess there is a chance that she thinks what she does is Art?  I mean, I am sure she grew up hearing about that seminal piece of 80's art “Miami Vice” . . .

Agents in Hollywood have a well founded reputation for trustworthiness, right?

“There were drastic changes” made to the script she told The Wrap with a laugh. “And I can’t even tell you what they were.” is the quote you are referencing?

Dont worry, a different untalented Nepo Baby will come along any second now.

If so, she still shares the blame. It would have taken 5 seconds google searching to find out the truth of that situation.

FFS you were not making “Art” when you signed on to Madame Web and you knew it from the beginnning.

Dang . . . you are Old Old.

WB has to be thrilled with the Dune franchise performance at this point. Its given them 2 very good movies at times when they really needed positive press, expecially this one, post writers strike, and in a movie going void where the theater owners were REALLY unhappy with the first quarter of 2024.

I only have two things to say:

It is going to be interesting. A lot of the analysis I’ve seen is that the opening numbers are high because of pent up demand. Basically there were very few movies in theaters, and those movies majorly underperformed, so there was extra interest in going to a good move when it came along.

I came here to say this thing. It is a decent start, but not worthy of the praise people are giving those numbers.

Chani being the concubine and Irulan being the “Wife” is a MAJOR plot point in Dune Messiah.

Well we knew he was going to have to change a lot from the book to make it work, but I will confess I didnt see this one coming!

The change to Chani also does away with the symmetry at the end of the book where Paul, just like his father, makes the woman he loves his concubine, choosing politics and power over love.

Thufir’s role was cut in the first movie so much I am not surprised he isnt in this one.

Thufir and Count Fenrig were both filmed for this movie, but were both cut for time and to allow DV to focus on the Bene Gesserit, from what I saw elsewhere.

I have Questions . . . . about Muppet Dune.

Kynes functions almost identically in the book and the movie, in terms of the role they play, so not really sure what you are on about here.
