The main thing I thought of for Classic was the 13 Regeneration limit introduced in the Deadly Assassin, which came out of no where and radically altered the lore, and iirc conflicts with earlier statements about regeneration (but dont have time to look into it now, so could be misremembering, it was the 70's after

I doubt they undo all the timeless child stuff, they are going to want to keep the endless regeneration part of it, but I am not so sure about the “Doctor is the cause of all the Time Lords” part.

Yes on 1, NO on 2.

The show has always retconned itself.

“controversial events” unrolling “a whole new Doctor Who mythology”

I know right???

That is a good point, BUT it means you skip a lot of the best overall run in the new era, which is hands down Tennant. and since the OP has already watched a couple episodes (with his neice) I thought he would be ok starting in on a regeneration, and if he liked it enough, he could go back and hit the important stuff

Perhaps I misread your tone in your response above, but it seemed dismissive of the site and honestly angry I would reference it?

It’s been on since 1963 (My mum watched it as a kid) so 60 years. it ran until 1989, then relaunched in 2005.

Wow you seem very bitter of IMDB’s existance. Do Wikipedia mext!

Each one gets their own personality, which has helped the show change with the times.

Funny thing is that Xmen HAVE a character who looks like the first image:

Weirdly enough, IMDB lists the character as The Celestial Toymaker for this episode, so maybe even though they call him just the Toymaker a lot, his name is the whole thing?

OOF that animation is rough.

I was more meaning as a showrunner referencing your comment “This is Russell T. Davies we’re talking about here, who’s seasons have almost always been 1/3 passable, 1/3 brilliant, and 1/3 crap.”

I more meant his showrrunning of the seasons (the first part of the OP’s comment).

I like the episodes we have gotten so far quite a bit, but they do feel just like episodes.

But school grading isnt a certification test.

That scale is not made by me. It is made by a company who specializes in collecting opinion data. Follow the link.

I am just responding to his comment in the article that they are “familiar foes” when they are in fact, extremely niche, which makes them by definition not familiar?
