And a pie fight!

I think everybody agrees that Captain Marvel is not a good movie” This is patently false.

But, and i could be wrong here, all the VFX is WAY more expensive because there is a glut of work and a lack of studios to do it.

It wouldnt be possible for anyone to make Alita for much less is my guess. Lots of animation and sfx, that sort of stuff is pretty expensive just to run.

Overseas is definitely a lower percentage vs domesitc in terms of what the studio gets, but I think that is countered by the lower amount of advertising this thing got.  At least somewhat.

According to The Numbers.

It’s the same level of interest if my initial interest was at 0!

All that Top picture makes me think is: . . . Oh Rocky!

Against my better judgement and having been burned before (looks askance at “Oz the Great and Powerful”) my interest has gone up by say . . . 53%.

and it’s not that Brie Larson is the most popular actress of the MCU neither.” Whoah a lot to unpack here.

I have doubts that it will be a huge failure. The first movie was a huge hit.

Two things:

Because while Box offices are down, they are down across the board.

The problem with your statement is that ALL movies are down this year, not just Marvel movies.

Ah already failing at the main rule of “Making good movies” which is of course “Focus on the movie you are making NOW”. A franchise will come if the first movie is good, especially these days where studios are so hungry for it.

Yeah I wonder how much of this is that when you see a White Savior in western fiction (movies, writing, etc . . .) he is always the GOOD GUY, right? But in this he actually isnt because in this narrative there really arent any good guys.

Definitely an option. I am 100% on the team of “he’s a hero because of how the Kents raised him”. His heritage just gives him the tools to be a better hero, but they aren’t the “Why”.

Maybe he finally washed it, so it appears more red?

Less Subtly put:

So its a very very very minor change.
