Also: Nice, deep cut St Dominics Preview track live.   Classic Early 70's Van.

I thought they went “Weema-Wacka” before bed.

Come on, really?

My undoing in ZS Bingo is probably those and that I didnt choose “plot threads to nowhere” or “Character killed off for funsies”.

Yeah it is amazing that we now have these awesome cameras with incredible resolution and the most amazing tools imaginable to enhance colors once it is shot and no one seems to have any interest in using them!

Really? Thor Loki and Odin are all major players in the Season of Mists arc (issues 21-28). Titania and Oberon are probably needed because they didnt, irrc, introduce Cluracan and Nuala in season 1, and the Fae play a fun  part in the story.

Wait, so the Lion was . . . . Judas or Gollum?

Hey now, this is different. It’s a moon, so there was no WAY he could do a Blue/Grey filter in every single shot like on Krypton!

He’s already Snydering up the joint. No Color, made the movie into 2 parts.

Wow those Rebel Moon pics. Apparently the enemy of the film is “color”.

It is also a soft year at the box office where they are making less than expected. With the Writers strike and that combined, they have no idea what is actually going to make it to theaters next year.

The last 5 DC movies WERE flops, but they were also made almost entirely under the previous studio owner, with only some cosmetic changes to the end product by the current team.

That is certainly not how “franchise fatigue” has been used in my experience.

Franchise fatigue? No.

No its not “failing up” when a movie is not successful and you follow it with Blue Velvet where you are nominated for Best Director. And then he follow it with another succesful movie. And then a classic TV show that was HUGELY successful.

Oh no, I think Alia is coming and will do her job at the end of the story.

The time skip in the book is after Jessica drinks and is about 2 years time.  Alia is mostly discussed right after the skip, iirc.

Yes, the man who won Best Director for the Elephant Man in 1980 and was nominated for Best Director for Blue Velvet in 1986 “Failed Up”.

IIRC the book doesnt actually go into a ton of detail about Paul working himself up through the ranks. There is some to be sure, but because Herbert glosses over most of the fights with the Harkonens (virtually none of them have any details), it isnt really shown in the book, but talked about.
