I guess he was the White Power Ranger all along, huh.
I’m a white man who has benefited greatly from my privilege over the years (even if I haven’t always been aware of it) so I know my voice probably shouldn’t be the loudest on this issue, but my god even I’m sick of how many talentless white men have infested this industry I love.
In some ways I would put him and a couple other staff as the *only* journalists Kotaku had/have.
“Now Bloomberg reports that the game was rushed out in half the time of a normal Call of Duty sequel, with devs working nights and weekends to meet Activision’s annualized sales goals.”
It all started because they didn’t want to have an “XBox 2” while Sony had the PS3. Companies can get weird about having the “smaller” number. It’s the same reason why Samsung went from the Galaxy 10 to 21. They didn’t want to be behind Apple’s numbering any longer.
We need to cut funding for post-crime law enforcement and move that money over to crime prevention services, including welfare programs. If people want crime to go down, then they have to make sure that crimes of necessity... aren’t actually necessary for those people to survive.
Read all the books and cite all the economic “rules” you want, nobody cares what a thing “should have” cost if it had been adjusted for inflation all along. It wasn’t, and we just care what it cost now compared to a year ago.
The “reality” is all economic “rules” are completely made up and selectively “enforced.”
Now,…
He’s not saying anything about MS being a hero, and he’s not calling the retail stores bad, he’s saying that AAA publishers were overly reliant on the moat they built of dominating game sales by dominating shelf space in retail stores (which is something game companies pay for), and didn’t figure out how to keep that…
Look, it will come to market. Musk has way too much time, energy, money and publicity wrapped up into this thing. And it will sell initially. But I forsee it following the path of that other stainless steel car, except the CEO won’t be busted for cocaine. Securities fraud? Sure, but not cocaine.
Take a breath. You’re getting testy over punctuation marks.
It does seem like a lot of hate has been misdirected at the man himself but I think a lot of people’s negative reaction isn’t to himpersonallys so much as to the fact that our society is so wealthy that filming yourself performing charitable acts can be highly profitable yet it refuses to provide the kind of public…
I suspect a video about the years-long slog through lobbying and legislature, with its accompanying failures and setbacks and systemic sabotage, to finally result in a compromise which allows for some mild progress, will not generate the revenue sufficient to fund such an effort.
This guy can give away money because…
I mean, it’s totally fair to feel that way, but Game Pass is a pretty huge differentiator; if it weren’t, Sony wouldn’t have put together a service to compete with it. Exclusives do move consoles, but that’s not the only thing that does; if it were, I wouldn’t be purchasing an Xbox first every gen.
In theory, she is extremely simple as she has zero interactions between her abilities, her ult is easy to understand and her movement option is just point and shoot.
“we conservatives do not label ALL trans people crazy”
fwiw I don’t get this problem if I quit the game entirely each time I’m done. If I open the game with Quick Resume, that’s when I have the connection issues.
I see what you’re saying, but it’s important to remember that US politics are skewed far to the right compared most of the rest of the world. Here’s a quick article on it if you’re unfamiliar:
I’m a AAA game audio programmer. HRTF is a big part of it. The current gen consoles have 3d audio support which means sounds are actually fed to the console hardware as “object data” opposed to being rendered and mixed at a higher level in the game’s software. That’s what lets the HRTF be applied to individual sounds…
Same. I don’t get the issue. Pretty sure it’s a holdover complaint from the old X360 dashboard that actually was littered with ads for non-Xbox shit. It’s one tile that leads you to the weekly deals for the system you’re on as well as the GWG titles for the month. It’s...actually kinda useful.
