My Franklin’s mismatched ears are the best. One sticks straight up and the other is folded. He is a mix of many things, with chihuahua and chow-chow being the two breeds that show up the most in a DNA test, so who knows why his ears are like that! It makes him way too easy to spoil.

This picture is huge, I’m sorry. My doggo, who lives with my parents how, does this thing where he just leans against you - stands or sits beside you, and just leans against your legs to watch whatever else is happening. It’s just so sweet. I miss him.

My one cat loves my boyfriend’s drag stuff. She loves the drag closet and the makeup table and brushes. She just stands on the chair looking into the mirror like an old diva. Her name is Tenar (from Ursula Le Guins Tombs of Atuan) but when she’s being a fashion kitty we call her by her drag name Tenar Braxton.

Mine’s when he’s not being a complete diva for attention. His habits are easy to plan for though as he’s not one for thinking outside the box.

It really speaks to the need to destigmatize mental illness. Whether it’s situation depression or a chronic disgnosis, it’s part of the human condition and admitting that only makes it easier for others to talk about their experiences and realize they are not alone.

So my husband and i have been having issues..for quite a while, issues that we got married with and only got worse with the stress of parenthood. Anyways, i started seeing a therapist and she asked me to write the pro’s and cons of staying in my marriage.

I started cross stitching this week. There was a lot of pre-planning required and trying to understand basic techniques but I’m fairly pleased with my first small design. I’ve got to figure out how I’m going to finish it but in the bigger picture it’s practice for a project I want to do for a local group.
