Very good point. You cant really blame the magazines. They are just a business trying to do business.

The sad truth is, and I say this as a Black man, is that the wider public in Europe and the U.S. buy fashion magazines and a lower rate when women of color are on the cover. The problem is not with the magazines. They just want to sell mags. The problem is with the public and the rest of society that is still racist.

It is surprising re Vogue Japan, for such a homogeneous culture, I am surprise they have primarily white models on their cover. Is Vogue Japan edited/managed by white people?

Two way street? White people would have been dealt with in the same manner?

Racism is a two way street here?

it is scary and just completely saddening how right you are.

Bless people who hold their heads high and fight even as their world falls apart. These women are phenomenal.

I cannot begin to understand the pain and anguish and unrelenting grief of losing a child. But then to have to cope with that on a public stage with strangers saying the asinine bullshit that is all over the media? I cannot fathom that. But to do it with this grace? That's simply amazing. They demand that these mothers see their children as monsters who deserved to die and to be ashamed they raised monsters. That is the essence of this racism - simply being offended that the

While the name is cute and all, this is a missed opportunity to call her BAY. Bayoncé!

I worked up in AK for ADF&G. At one remote field site, there were sea otters EVERYWHERE in the bay and out in straits beyond. There was one mother sea otter with a pup who hung out in our bay most of the time. The pup was getting pretty big, and obviously the mother was ready to mate again, as a big ol' dog otter

If I had more disposable income and less sense, I'd probably try to figure out how to get one for a pet. I just want to cuddle it forever!

LOL at 'IS MY GRANDCHILD ALRIGHT?!' Because, of course, it's all about her MIL-self.

WHELP BUILDING A POND AND BUYING AN OTTER BRB

She otter be very happy in her new home.

I have a list of people who cannot see any of my posts, this is basically my MIL and her fucking annoying nosey friends. Be careful though. Sometimes when you post on a public group (I made this mistake, I thought it had been a private pregnancy yoga group) these people will see it with their magical stalking powers.

Aw, is it hard to scratch an itch on your neck when your feet are so fwoppy? I bet it is!
