Am I the only one who gets annoyed when celebrity gossip articles don’t even hint at what the celebrity is famous for? I try to keep up with this stuff but it feels like half the time when you open up an article it’s just a bunch of screen grabs from Instagram or Twitter. Would it hurt to mention basketball anywhere??

It saddened me to see so many people commenting in the other story that they don’t believe Takei’s accuser, even when they believe accusers in other cases.

In my job I have met more than a hundred vets if not more. The Iran thing is almost a universal opinion, as is the notion that Obama was somehow awful for the troops. Most soldiers I have met are also incredibly racist towards Muslims, usually calling them rag or towel heads.

Both if my folks are veterans. Served in the Air Force in the 80s. To them, and the attitude of most people they knew then, it was just a job that where you happen to wear a uniform. But now my regional grocery chain has “hero parking” for troops and emergency responders. Home Depot has purple heart parking.

We should start by not sending them to fight bullshit wars.
