@la.donna.pietra: Good point. I guess when I think of adopting a child, which is my ultimate plan, I think, "I'll take whatever they've got. Doesn't have to be a baby even." I forget that the "healthy, white baby" thing pervades adoption as well.

I thought about donating eggs once, when I really needed money. I was being offered $7,000. I eventually couldn't bring myself to do it. I didn't have to meet SAT score requirements, but there were certainly other academic and physical requirements to meet. I didn't learn of these requirements at first. I was

@RajasthaniRajkumari: I'm sorry. Break ups are no fun. I wouldn't give up just yet. Maybe just take some time for yourself right now and then get back in the game.

I can't believe parents would do something like that. Well, I can, but I'm just appalled. I don't have kids, so I guess I don't have parent perspective, but you don't get to pick when you want to be a parent or not. I guess he's 18, but give me a break. @curiousgeorgiana: The health care bill show was probably much more riveting. Bummer you have to be up all night, though.

@#c20765774: Oh man, I can't stand the stupidity of the models.

@curiousgeorgiana: Yes, but 219 voted yes! Those dems who voted no are on my shit list, though.

@ab33: I was watching C-SPAN and then got so mad I had to change the channel. It's rough.

@ablative: Congrats on the master's degree! That's quite an accomplishment.

@shanASS: Galapagos is awesome! I'm so jealous!

@coolcooldame: I went through a similar thing in undergrad. I had a few friends that I was really close to and hung out with, and that worked for me. There are people out there that don't care about the party scene. You just have to look hard to find them.

@thisispaisley: That is a lot of stuff to get accomplished! You rock.

@Cupcakes.and.Kittens: Being an adult is tough. I'm 25 and it doesn't seem to get easier. As for a program, I picked something totally useless that I loved: history. But I picked it knowing that I was going to law school afterward (or at least that I was going to apply). It's a tough decision, but I don't know

@shepoosclouds: I loved it! I had to read it for a class too.
