In terms of outright influencing this guy...there isn’t a whole lot. Make your criticisms known to your local, state, and federal representatives. (ESPECIALLY your state, as the GOP is really into saying “it’s a state issue” to the hot button topics.) Protest, spread the word, and campaign like a mofo for the midterm…

I said this in a comment a few months ago, but I truly think that Trump could have stood in the streets and burned live puppies on television, and his supporters would have been like “But he’s different! He’s exciting! But emails, lock her up!”

That would not be surprising. From what I know of the Kushners, Papa Kushner is not a warm and cuddly person (might be way Jared deals with Trump so well). They may be Democrats, but they are not socially liberal, and I doubt they would be fully open-minded about a gay son.

I know women who have done that and, unfortunately, it didn’t help. I think that they are so far removed in their position of power and think of themselves as saviors who can do no wrong, that they don’t even realize that what they are saying is horrible.
