Rather than a playable Zelda, I would have thought the easier approach would be to give Link a gender option. There’s no reason other than tradition why Link couldn’t be female, especially as they are designed to be a stand-in for the player, and they could easily have same movesets and so on, just a slightly

Nah Konami and Kojima have a blood feud, they are never working together again. Even if Konami begged I doubt Kojima would go back

I always thought it looked like Yvonne Jaqueline Strzechowski (from the show Chuck among other things).

Can someone explain to me how this is a “scam” and not just a really bad product that didn’t live up to the marketing hype?

My favourite part of the article is where you linked to the trailer so I could watch it.

I remember her suing over a character in the game (Lacey Jonas), not the cover model, but then lol oh yeah she also sued for that, too.

Not Florida enough. Needs a twist, like the wave pool being full of Bacardi-drunk gators.

So you want money because they stole your likeness, the likeness you stole from a movie.... >.>

Princess Peach has her own game next year.

That would make me more likely to play. I can’t imagine the outpouring of grief/grievance from people who hate female MCs, though.

At the end of the day content creators just don’t give a fuck, one purchase is nothing compared to the clicks they’ll get for showing them play what, as you said, anyone with a functioning brain already knew was a nothing-burger of a scam of a “game”.

Articles and attention like this are the reason scams like this bring success to the scammers. Every person on Earth who has followed this game knew it was a disaster. Yet a few hours after release and Steam already has 4,000 verified purchases of folks who have taken the time to write a (negative) review.

This is so shocking and unexpected! Especially from a company that, in the past week, purchased a single ad spot in Time Square to make a big thing out of it and give the impression that they did more than buy a single ad spot (not outrageously expensive), all while asserting, “THIS ISN’T A SCAM! WE SWEAR!”

Rental car companies phase cars out as they get mileage on them. I think most are currently selling at around 20,000 miles.

More than a decade ago, Warner Bros. settled a lawsuit with the tattoo artist who designed (and copyrighted!) Mike Tyson’s face tattoo which the movie studio had replicated exactly for a joke in The Hangover 2.

Murdering your potential customers is an ineffective sales technique. Even my local KIA dealer stopped doing that.

I seriously doubt that would be the case. The vast majority of console sales will come from casual gamers who don’t even know about PC mods and definitely don’t watch Youtube videos about them. That said, even if it was true, Rockstar makes money regardless of where you buy the game so they shouldn’t care if it sells

I’m sorry a PC owner stole your boy and/or girl. That must have been really painful. Luckily you have your console to cuddle at night.

To be fair, we are talking about the long-awaited sequel to the game that has consistently been in the top 5 most popular, highest grossing, best selling games every year for an entire fucking decade since it’s release.

It’s a shame that this doesn’t even mention Hunt: Showdown, which is easily the best extraction shooter I’ve played (including DMZ, Tarkov, The Cycle, Marauders, Dark and Darker, and others. I think Deep Rock Galactic is sort of an extraction shooter? I haven’t played that though, so if it’s better, don’t mind me) AND
