I mean who wouldn’t be cynical like he is when you’ve been in the industry for as long as he did? And been burned by it?

Surprised this didn’t happen sooner. Jeff’s always been that guy (former GB staff as well) who seemed to really dislike being dictated to by upper management types like Red Ventures. I guess we’ll know tomorrow, but I wonder if he’ll do another website thing, or if he’s even allowed to in the near term.

You’re victimhood-ing really hard in these comments. You’ve literally been here for years. It would have been way easier to just ban you a long time ago if what you say was actually true. But no one really cares that much, and people have jobs to do besides constantly checking up on what you’re doing.

Those are definitely not gen z terms. They’re slang, and they’ve been around for ages, at least the early 00s. Since they’re black slang, I’m guessing she picked it up from Kanye, which makes her use of the terms really corny.

It’s almost as if he can’t point to anything in the Koran

This man really just explained away his bigotry by saying “I’m a Muslim”. That is f’ing wild. There’s zero chance this dude has an actual understanding of Islam or its history besides whatever vague understanding he has for his denomination.

That’s some wild pearl-clutching going on in that statement.

I wonder how much the name thing hurt the game. This is clearly a way better game than the original, right? I wonder how much the history with the name hurt it’s chances for a sequel/series. Or maybe it was just doomed from the beginning.

Well, they already did that with Andromeda, and people really didn’t like those two. Why not go back to Shepard? I’d hate it, but the current Bioware is a long ways off from their glory years. Why do that goofy Shepard “takes a breath” scene if you’re not going to dig them up anyways?

That’s a good point because the character performances are all really good, so that’s kind of the only thing that stands out after all this time, instead of the actual character Shepard. And people have been saying for ages that a Citadel-based ME would be pretty cool, and I agree. But Bioware’s (allegedly) like “Hey

If we’re talking about Shepard, then wouldn’t the backstories have to be given weight in the discussion? I feel like they really didn’t do too much which Shepard, so this whole thing where they try to do more Shepard stuff is just strange.

Well, why the infatuation with “Shepard” then?

I’ve been playing Dragon Age Origins (still great), and it really surprises me how little they actually did with Shepard (the character) in Mass Effect vs Dragon Age.

LOL I was also thinking that in the other article about the sale of their studios! They’ve got to be laundering money, or SOMETHING, right?!...

I wouldn’t call anything pertaining to Reggie’s time at Nintendo as “clueless”, or anything near that. He’s an extremely smart and business-savvy guy, he’s not just some guy who lucked into the position. His insight on the Game Boy Micro yesterday tells you as much.

It’s much more likely to be a combination of willful ignorance (actively trying to not find problems)

You’re probably basing this on things you’ve seen on Twitter and Reddit, which are absolutely not good metrics to base anything on.

He’s definitely lying, but that “lunch meeting” bit is throwing me. Like what’s the significance of that? How does that make anything better? Especially if temps can’t event attend it? It’s like someone thought up a nasty catch-22 for permatemps so things stay the way they are, and that’s kinda gross if it’s true.
