My acceptance of the ending will largely depend on how much the FF7:R team intends to deviate from the major story beats of Final Fantasy VII. I don’t mind minor deviations, and in fact I enjoyed the unexpected twists and turns introduced in the first 95% of the game.

On the one hand, I totally understand the desire to experience the plot of the game beyond just Midgar. Several of my favorite characters, plot twists and story elements all are introduced afterwards. I’m a bit worried Square Enix will realize they’ve bitten off more than they can chew, and Parts 2 and beyond of the

Several comments here seem to imply I’m some sort of Bernie Bro out to convert Warren supporters into abandoning her. I still really like Elizabeth. I understand why she’s still supported and I don’t view her, or anyone who will vote for her, in a remotely negative light. If anything, I’m disappointed in Pete dropping

That’s fair, and I’ll agree that ‘rigging’ was the wrong term for me to use. I’d just say I’m disappointed in Pete as I thought he was a bit more left than he actually is, if he’d really prefer a Biden Presidency over a Warren or a Sanders Presidency. I didn’t dislike Pete as much as Jezebel in the past, and

The only reason for the candidate who ‘won’ Iowa and who placed third in delegates to quit prior to Super Tuesday was to ensure consolidation behind a single moderate candidate on Tuesday.

I’m sure Biden offered him something. (Probably not VP, but a cabinet post nonetheless.) And I’m disappointed Pete took the plunge

This is terrible news for progressives. The only reason Pete would give up before Super Tuesday after ‘winning’ Iowa is to consolidate the moderate lane around Biden. It’s clear that the establishment is pushing Pete out prematurely because they’re terrified of Sanders.

I feel like the intro’s desire to include undertones of Sephiroth and/or Jenova in every imaginable sequence, is okay in this sequence so long as it’s used sparsely. It’s okay if a few of Midgar’s most intense sequences are re-imagined like this.

I’d prefer a morally grey reading of Avalanche as eco-terrorists myself, but it’s worth noting that the remake’s insistence that Avalanche merely intended to disable and not destroy the reactor is...more or less faithful to the original FFVII.

I’m shocked to not see Persona 4 or 5 referenced here. What better way to feel less lonely than to inject a solid 100 hours with the best imaginary friends ever?

The only problem with my Investigation Team and Phantom Thieves buddies is they make my real friends look like losers in comparison. Shape up, real friends!

Personally, I’ve always enjoyed witnessing Hammer’s MAD SKILLZ in Xenogears.

On a slightly related note, I will say that, at the time when Frasier basically won every Emmy at Friends’ expense, I was infuriated for Friends.

I’ll concede it’s possible Friends doesn’t live up to my memories. I last binged the series in 2014 and haven’t felt a need to watch it again since.

Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person who watched *Friends* and didn’t hate Ross.

You can’t go straight from boss fight to boss fight without fighting *any* encounters in-between, but I’ve never hit a moment in any of the Cold Steel games where I felt obligated to reload the same map to fight the same enemies multiple times in a row before advancing the story.

Hold up, hold up. 2019, a slow year for Playstation? We had Concrete Genie! Judgment! AI: The Somnium Files! And most importantly of all, the western release of Trails of Cold Steel III!

All I can say is I really hope this reference to Deadspin isn’t the first domino in a set of the same consequences knocking down Kotaku. It’s hard enough to have lost Deadspin due to egregious managerial malpractice, losing Kotaku too (for simply referencing events that actually happened as *events that happened*,

I know this will be a controversial opinion, but it’s strange how much shifting the thematic elements of Last of Us’ story from “the overriding, potentially destructive power of love” in Part 1 to “the destructive power of hate” in Part 2 really just erodes my interest in the game. It’s one thing to execute countless

I got the new -001(-01) Switch a few weeks ago and was shocked that I was able to play Three Houses for nearly six hours on batteries before needing to recharge. Six hours on nearly maxed out brightness settings! I’m sure the batteries will eventually deteriorate but that was impressive.

Ah yes, here’s the one thing most responsible for the failure of most liberal movements: Liberal defeatism.

“Dies by suicide,” sure.
Anyone with half a brain knows better.
