I’ve been making my way through the podcast.

I’m not gonna say she’s my favorite, but I’m gonna post her any way because I feel she’s been kind of forgotten, but Elika, from Prince of Persia 2008.

Winner

I don’t understand it. Ross’ character is one of the only ones that consistently makes me laugh out loud after MULTIPLE viewings.

Have you rewatched it at all? None of it ages well, but Ross is especially bad.

I liked Ross too. I thought he was dorky and sweet. I haven’t rewatched in a while, so I don’t know how he holds up as a character, but the last time I saw the show I remember thinking the comedy didn’t hold up well. Like, it wasn’t funny at all.

I liked Ross the first few seasons, and felt bad for him because I thought his job was cool and he was always getting grief about it. But I swear he got whiner and more awful as the show went on.

I don’t like Ross as a character, but Schwimmer’s performance (specifically his physical comedy abilities and his overall comedic timing) was fantastic. That’s something I’ve appreciated more on repeat viewings.

I never really got into Friends but of the episodes I’ve seen, I would have watched a show called The Gellars that focused on Ross, Monica, and their parents. Chandler can hang out. I can do without Phoebe even though I think Lisa Kudrow has been comedically brilliant in other things.

The irony of Star Wars games where you play as a Jedi (or Sith) not using canon’s built in “skill tree” (Guardian, Sentinel, Consular) continues to mystify me.

It’s nice that Kirk is playing what’s probably the 2019 Game of the Year. Can we maybe expect Kotaku to cover it though, at some point before 2020? You’ll probably want people to know about the 2019 Game of the Year.

Now I must buy Disco Elysium.

I didn’t really expect much of this one going in, but five hours in this might be my game of the year.

browns fan here: i actually was rooting for the browns to lose that game, just because the steelers missing the playoffs meant so much more to me than the browns finishing with a winning record.

The best part for Steelers haters is that the team stayed on the field to watch the end of the CLE-BAL game on the final Sunday of the regular season, hoping for a Browns win so PIT could make the playoffs. The Browns naturally lost. I can’t think of a better ending for these shiteaters than to be reduced rooting for

Belichick can’t be Trump, because Belichick is actually accomplished, actually knows what the fuck he’s talking about, and regularly outsmarts other people. Belichick is like, the anti-Trump. Which makes it all the more astounding that he’d support a goober like Trump in the first place.

The main problem here is despite their similarities, the subtle things that make/would make Warren a better candidate/president include the fact she would recognize this and drop out if it came to it, whereas we know from experience Bernie would have too much pride to do so =/

I teach effective team strategies in the context of an introductory composition course, and this article is a case study of how to mess up a team project. There is so much to highlight, but I want to sit with the first point where I thought, “You’re up the creek without a paddle”:

Albert - I have gotten a lot of joy out of your work on this site. Your HitchBot takedown is to this day one of my favorite things I have ever read on the Internet, and your writing is a big part of how I got to be a passionate NBA fan. This piece is all true, and good, and like all of your work, well-written.
