Wow. This was an absolutely terrible episode - the only redeeming sketch was “Straight Male Friend,” and Punkie Johnson and Mikey Day were charming and funny in their bit. I never want to see characters from the other sketches ever again; they were just cringe inducing - someone needs to go back to reviewer school.

I really thought this was terrible throughout. There were a few funny lines, and Weekend Update was good, but it was mainly low-quality material, and the sportsguy was pretty unappealing.

What is with everyone grading the MCU on such a curve? It does some really shoddy, sloppy work and for some reason everyone just writes it off as no big deal. The movie looks like junk for something that cost 200 million. The writing is filled with corny “that just happened” type humor and is the same bland bad guy…

I didn’t mind Triangle of Sadness. But it really didn’t bring the heat.

It was for exactly that reason that I started watching. Now I find myself thinking, I’m going to miss Ian Karmel, I’ll miss his surly writer, and I will really REALLY miss Reggie and the band.

Awards shows are designed by people who hate the awards to appeal to people who have no interest in the awards. 

I wish they’d at least embrace being boring. We like the drama of wondering who will win, and the catharsis/defeat of seeing that result. All the cringe comes with attempts to appeal to people who wouldn’t just tune in for a a parade of announcements and acceptances.

The movie looked fine. Even the screen grab above that’s constantly been shit on since the trailer came out didn’t look near as bad in the theaters for all the shit it got on the internet the last couple of months. People just need to stop being jaded assholes all the time and enjoy things
