How is it not relevent, that an organization promises to do better before the event starts.. Do we really want to forget that someone assaulted someone on stage in front of the world and minutes later received an award... Thats not a good thing, and im very dissapointed if you think we should just get over it.

Michael Jordan was never unknown, he was the number 2 overall pick in the draft. you could say unproven to be more accurate.

I would be annoyed too if I was dealing with a rich and inept movie star while getting coffee at a drive through. One, because I’m on my way to work and I’m being served by some douche who wants to cosplay as working class. Two, it’s coffee and I couldn’t be bothered to walk in so I’m obviously pressed for time. But

I’m not really sure this is “beating a dead horse” considering it’s the Academy president talking at an Oscars luncheon about the organization’s response, and how this impacts the Oscars going forward. Seems like that’s exactly where it would be still relevant to bring up. Beyond that, I’m sure Will Smith would like

Why would an article about queerbaiting immediately send your mind to Tom Cruise in Top Gun?

I was offended because it sucked out loud and was thinly veiled American exceptionalist propaganda.

I will cop to making fun of Progressives on occasion; but this underdog love story circle-jerk to Capitalism trailer was sort of disgusting.

Triple bill: Air, Plane, and Airplane! I would turn up about three hours late.

None of those numbers are good.

Here’s an idea: Announce the nominees, show clips from each one, and announce the winners. People who enjoy that sort of thing will watch, and people who don’t, won’t. You don’t have to “fix” everything just because the ratings are in decline.

If I remember correctly the incredible twist in The 6th Sense is that the guy we just saw get killed is dead.

How are liminal spaces “traditionally photos?” Is it the lighting of twilight? Liminal means in-between and can be applied to just about anything. Is “liminal” being used as “spooky” now in the same way that “literally” now means “figuratively?” I’ll go yell at a cloud while I await a good answer.

We’re talking about “The Backrooms,” an expansion of the internet’s fascination with liminal spaces—which are weird (often edited) photos of unsettlingly empty places.

Bad Habit is an awful fucking song

Just, what the fuck.

Absolutely - came here to say that ‘Bells of Notre Dame’ may be the best show opener of any Disney movie.

How is “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid not included!? Not only is it one of the best Disney songs it’s one of the best “I want” songs in musical theater history!

“Bruno” is maybe the third best song in that movie. My guess is that everyone attaches to it because of the chorus.

I don’t remotely get how We Don’t Talk About Bruno became, apparently, an earworm. Nothing at all against the piece, which is a fine exposition song, but I didn't find it musically gripping at all. Surface Pressure is also my favorite from that film, but there are multiple others I also thought were more catchy.

what are we even doing here any more, honestly
