TNG lets characters occasionally have an episode of development, but it never sticks to the next one. DS9 was so much better about giving character arcs and growth.

The Klingons in general are far better on DS9 than TNG, not to mention the Ferengi. 

Yep...in an interview, Gardner mentioned that she had trouble controlling her laugh during dress rehearsal, but during rehearsal, Day wasn’t wearing the prosthetics.

Meanwhile, I fear Renegade Nell could easily be scrubbed from Disney Plus like Willow & the Emmy-winning The Mysterious Benedict Society. So stream it now while you still can!

Yeah, in terms of writing, it felt like they needed to choose how to commit to the bit. The sketch that B’dilliBay shared was a lot more focused. That said, it was a hilarious sketch; and who knows, maybe the constant corpsing derailed some scripted elements?

It was a really funny sketch, but not because of the writing. It was funny because Gosling and Mikey Day’s makeup was terrifying, and the other cast-members clearly hadn’t seen it until that moment and were all struggling to maintain their composure.

Sisko is absolutely a black man in all that means. Don’t take that away from Sisko or Brooks or Benny.

Tesla semi-famously DID lay off their PR department. Muck dissolved it in 2020 and sent out a directive to the company that all questions from the press were to go directly to him. He stated that he didn’t want Tesla “manipulating public opinion”. Since then the PR department consists of Musk and only Musk.

I love Garak, and I love DS9 (best Trek series, IMO). Sisko and the Federation were by this point quite desperate, and when one is that desperate you go to plain, simple Garak for solutions. 

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone call Sisko an unhinged madman, and while Sisko may be African American his character has always seemed to me to be race neutral, like make Sisko a bald white guy and what exactly about his character would have to change? In my opinion, nothing. "In the Pale Moonlight" deserves all…

Are there any other options left?  Doesn’t sound much different than non-EV people.

The point of “the deus ex squid” was that it was (ostensibly) an alien, therefore external threat, for the whole world to rally under.
