I’ve seen that before. I have a 2007 Sienna. Somewhere around 2015, there was a recall about the spare tire carrier, when we took it into the dealer, the dealership said that they noticed it had a cracked dash and that Toyota was replacing them because they had a supplier that didn’t make them right.

Two things:

doubt that’s how it’s going. It’s likely more like this:

“How do we stop this auto theft epidemic?”

Actually governing effectively in a way that improves people’s lives undermines their core message that government is not a solution to problems, but is, in itself, the problem.

Yep. We got a higher efficiency furnace, high-R windows and 8 inches of additional insulation sprayed in and we're still paying more than before to heat the place thanks to Texas.

I remember when this video came out.  I was in college and we all had a good laugh about it.

But that money was supposed to be for putting razor wire in the rivers and setting up migrant concentration camps

Burying power lines.

I get texts from the Texas Republicans all the time and it usually involves them asking if they should go after Biden for X, Y, or Z. I always respond with something to the effect, “Please do some real work! Fix the grid, fix the roads, fix anything, just please stop with the BS witch hunts!”

This sounds like socialism and I’ve reported you to my church supervisor who will be launching a lawsuit to prevent any future food and beverage breaks for utility workers in your area.

Lone Star --- out of five

I mean, if you’re gonna be mad at somebody with the power company, it’s not the dudes getting swamp ass trying to fix the power, it’s the dudes telling everybody to turn their AC systems off while sitting in front of a thermostat set to 70°F.

So you create a culture of fear and distrust. Ensure every loony is armed to the teeth. Create a series of regulations that absolves said loonies from the consequences of shooting first and asking questions later if they feel “threatened.” Then you’re suprises that the loonies see everyone else as others?

Ah, Texas. The shining star of the south.

Definitely not HOAPresidentParkingLot LLC

In my little section of West Alabama, whenever we have power outages following a massive storm, we offer the utility workers some food and drink while they work to show our appreciation. I’m serious. We usually have our power restored faster than everyone else.

Yeah instead of talking “tough” maybe he should use some of the $105 billion (3rd most of any state) it receives from the Federal Gov. to actually upgrade its ancient power grid.

If you can think of a better way to fix a problem than shooting at it, I’d like to hear it!

We just are so much better than this.

Some residents have taken to parking their trucks in a pay lot over half a mile from the neighborhood,
