I was obviously into it at the time.

“Being funny” is always an option for a political comedy show. In theory, at least.

I think The Daily Show’s political value was probably les about swaying the already political and more about making the apolitical more politically aware. That’s basically what happened to me; I started watching as a teenager looking for laughs.

Running the risk of being pilloried by my own people (ie, the woke scolds and cancel culture spoilsports of the Internet at large): Barbie wasn’t actually all that great, and it doesn’t really deserve most of the acclaim that it’s received. It was relatively progressive for a children’s movie/toy commercial/nostalgia

He was as cheap as his non-union Mexican equivalent, Sawyer Spielbergo.

Bill Clinton’s side piece.

Hillary who?

Sorry and rereading my post, I can’t stand that I cannot fix my “they’re” mistake.

Excellent.  Here’s your pen.

Well, yeah, drunk people making an ass out of themselves can be funny.

Hey-O!

I can relate. I’d have to be fucking hammered to listen to country music, let alone play it.

I always assumed Schneider was incapable of creating anything original.

I prefer her films, like ‘The Best Little Taphouse in Texas’.

I think it’s the commenting on yourself in the third person that really draws out the respect. Bob Dole won 4 House and 6 Senate races riding that strategy!

nice

About 45 minutes I will be cracking a cold one and I cannot wait!

I have not seen the movie, but this reminds me of the Christopher Lee quote, “Every actor has to make terrible films from time to time, but the trick is never to be terrible in them.”

All worthy nominations.
