Haha this last paragraph is hysterical. The sound my Mini uses to alert me that it is, in fact, kind of chilly outside is the exact same sound it uses to warn of catastrophic engine failure. So that’s fun.

It can be easily disabled via a coding tool on BMW/Mini’s. You can actually change the temperature the alert comes on or just disable it (which is what I did). I’m pretty sure I know when it’s cold out :/

Subaru does an excellent blue LED ambient light. I forget it’s there but I never not know what I’m reaching for in the cupholder or console like my Garage opener, etc. Light is mounted on the ceiling near the sunglass holder.
