3 times is a pattern. There’s been 3.5 Far Cry games since the formula was cemented, and a scientifically immeasurable amount of Assassin’s Creed, Watchdogs, Tom Clancy games following the same formula, with nothing publicly changing in the methods or management of these games. Not a smart person, so take this with a large grain of salt, but I know that air takes much longer to heat up than the consoles’ components, and since the fan is recycling air pretty quickly, I’d have to assume that measuring the exhausted air makes for a pretty accurate picture of how hot it is inside the case.
