I googled the 1956 movie and now I want to watch it too. It’s a bummer that it’s not on hbomax or kanopy.

This looks fun! Can’t lose with this cast.
Cruel Summer has felt like a prolonged Lifetime movie. I don’t hate it though
So far this month, I’ve read Jurassic Park, which is very similar to the movie. I am forever grateful we got the Jeff Goldblum version of Dr. Ian Malcolm and not the book version. I’m currently reading the sequel, The Lost World, and so far it feels like its own thing, which is fun. Keeping with the theme, I hope to…
How did you like A Cosmology of Monsters? I came away from that book with with mixed feelings.
I keep expecting these episodes to get lower grades. Also, hopefully, I’m not mixing up episodes, but it’s interesting there hasn’t been much attention paid to the relationship between Marie and Zelda.
Somehow, I can’t help but continue to hate watch this show. I find a lot of it goofy and frustrating. Shame on me I guess.
I’m just going to reiterate what was already said in the review. This was wonderfully acted. Watching Zendaya’s face convey emotions was devastating. I can’t wait to see what she does in Malcolm and Marie.
the racial dynamics of the “put you in your place” scene made me cringe.
He was in other episodes. He was in the scene where they played with the Ouija. They kept calling him by his nickname, BoBo. I think counting on people to pick up the fact that he was Emmett Till without explicitly saying it now, however, probably wasn’t a good idea.
I was actually devastated when I thought this was the end for Mother and Father. Glad that wasn’t the case. I’m interested to see how the rest of the story is fleshed out in the next season.
Jumping on the Dune train. The trailer for the movie really intrigued, but who knows when I’ll actually get to see it. Theaters won’t be an option for me any time soon.
wow. his or her circumstances is such a throwback
I feel like that’s an artifact of the book it’s based on. The book felt like a collection of short stories about this group of characters.
There’s a lot of “white liberal” behavior on display.
I don’t think it’s that bad. There’s a lot of white savior complex that smacks you in the face.
Nice White Parents has been such a great listen, but also frustrating in the ways you’d expect.
I finished Imaginary Friends earlier this month. It’s a bit overly long for what it is. Currently, making my way through Lovecraft Country. So far it isn’t as creepy as I had hoped, but there is some suspense. I have The Power queued up next.
Goku should be on this list.
This was a problem for me too. This seemed to solve it https://kinja.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010705794-Login-Difficulty-with-Safari-on-MacOS-and-iOS
