Could Louis and Claudia not come up with a more believable vampire name than…Bruce?
Could Louis and Claudia not come up with a more believable vampire name than…Bruce?
I don’t understand the C+ rating when the review and seemingly the experience of watching the show was above average. I loved this episode not only for the writing, sets, and acting, but also for the unique morose feeling. It wasn’t dystopian or negative, it reminded me of the down times I’ve had in my life, and in…
Whenever Slappy's not on screen, all the other characters should be asking, "Where's Slappy?"
I wish they would adapt my favorite element of those books, the way that every chapter ends on a fake-out cliffhanger.
I’m not a car person (I don't even have a license) but I'm tentatively hopeful about that car show. I like the idea that rather than car people getting defensive about a "war on cars", the hobby can care about being more eco-friendly.
Yo hambone, Star Wars Visions Season Three is on the proverbial phone asking for a stop motion animated 13 to 21 minute short feature, possibly featuring the vocal talents of Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, and Jason Schwartzman.
Season 1 was a pulpy good time. This is the kind of show where I kinda don’t care how ludicrous or implausible the details are, my eyes are the opening to the trash bin of my brain, please put your garbage show in me.
What more could people possible want or expect about a show about positivity, growth, and unwavering support?
I think the reason why responses to this season are so divided and contentious is this: While individual episodes (or parts of the episodes) can be enjoyable, there are over-arching issues of plotting and characterization that keep the show from being cohesive over the course of an entire season. I don’t think I’ve…
I think the reviewer does get the show. They are correctly pointing out that the quality of the writing has gone down the toilet.
I do hope Alan Ruck finally gets some recognition from this show, he’s too often left out like poor Connor is.
Wow, Speckle and Bertie really need couples therapy.
Dawn has seemed really checked out both episodes. Her whole vibe has just been down. And it was no surprise that timing and planning got her again (at least she plated everything this time) as those issues are constant with her. I’m sure she’s nice and makes good, flavorful food, but she’s not cut out for competition…
Time to tea up!
Homies say ho!
The absolute mad lads and laddesses, they stuck the landing.
Thanks Tom for the review recaps and thanks to this wonderful comment section. I’ve loved tuning into every week to see us collectively realize and wax lyrical on how special this show was turning out to be, as if we were watching an underdog unknown team…
This series has never had an episode below an A- in score.
That quick reference to the Easy Cheese-obsessed Bobby Zimmeruski (Pauly Shore) was hilarious. This episode was a stroke of pure genius. I laughed. I cried. I danced to the credits.
This show and South Side on HBO Max are both written and performed by the same core group. They’re very different shows but both are great.
1. “Not in shape” is not synonymous with “fat.” There are a lot of thin people who are not in shape. There are plenty of fat people who are.
