I remember reading the book and watching the 70s version my first year of high school. Probably too young to really appreciate the story. I’m looking forward to watching this version

I’m echoing everyone else. I must watch this show now.
I was surprised there was no mention of him
I just finished up Pew by Catherine Lacey. Really beautiful writing but there was no there there. My fault for falling for booktok propaganda.
I’m starting Kaiju Preservation Society too. I really hope it lives up to the hype I’ve built up in my head.
Thanks! I could not find this for the life of me last weekend.
Did the weekend version of this ever drop last week?
I’m so glad What are you reading survived the changes happening on the site.
Totally agree. You made it much further than I did. I started reading it in late 2020 when the movie was announced and made it more or less to the betrayal before giving up. Maybe I’ll get back to it before part 2 comes out, but there’s so much more exciting sci-fi out there.
I’m back to sci-fi/fantasy this month after an October of horror reads. I just finished up my first George R.R. Martin book, Fire and Blood. It was actually pretty good until it got to the Dance of Dragons and then it started to drag for me. I’m interested to see how the new show treats the material next year.
Right, I don’t get any BoJack vibes from this at all. This has a very different tone/sense of humor.
I love the Scooby Doo cartoons and some of those Scooby Doo movies from the 90s are legit scary. Zombie Island, I’m looking at you.
Thanks for the recommendation! I read a short story of his last year that wasn’t my jam, but I’ve been meaning to give him another try.
On a Grady Hendrix kick. Recently finished The Final Girl Support Group and The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires. Currently reading We Sold Our Souls. I find his work a bit meta and little light on the scares, but fun. Maybe I’ll get into some more hardcore scares for October, if anyone has any…
I just rewatched season 2 and somehow this trailer made me feel like I could watch this show on an infinite loop.
These have been a little wonky lately. This is for Thursday. Last week (?) a day was skipped.
CNN’s docuseries have all been hits with me. Can’t wait to check this one out.
I support this! I was pretty tickled by vintage sexy campy movie in this week’s episode and the focus on Tuca has been nice.
Oh yeah, I read those comments too and every Monday I’m like, well...I was entertained.
Okay, I’m glad I’m not alone. I was reading the review and comments like am I the only one who likes this show? I’m not super into the romance, but I’ll let Tom Hiddleston sell it to me.
