Neutral: We don’t need any cars so no, we will not be spending money when we don’t have to. I think that is the exact type of decision that prevents us from becoming a sob story of financial ruin.
Are you saving any money for later in life? Pssssh. YOLO.
The roads I’ve dealt with are single (one each way) lane county roads in the middle of nowhere - I wouldn’t call them main transit corridors except when city folk are following Google maps on their way to grab some Insta shots hiking in the woods.
They have raised the speed limits themselves - maybe from the recommendations of other citizens - and we’ve petitioned them to lower them right back to what they were before after witnessing the accidents.
Nope, but I've also never asked for them to go that direction either.
100% agree.
I’ve had speed limits reduced on multiple roads near my house simply by writing to the county. After a survey of the incident reports on the roads they concluded that folks are hitting to many deer or going to quickly to safely pass a moose test. Thus, the speed limits gets dropped.
Do you think there is an option not to wait on the shoulder? I hate seeing cars pulled over on to the shoulder - people are going to turn their heads and someone is going to steer in to those waiting because of it.
Speed limits do get revised every so often. You can probably submit a request to change a speed limit to your local government who has jurisdiction even.
I’ve towed many horses with many vehicles - bumper pull or fifth wheel, SUV through F650. In a single horse bumper pull they can’t actually shift their weight distribution very much - that is why many Europeans can still cart their ponies around with ‘little’ cars.
The ‘average’ horse is waaaaaaay closer to 1,000 lbs than 2,000 lbs. Clydesdales are typically only ~1,500 to 1,600 lbs. (Source: Sleep next to wife who has horses)
Yes, my point was that all of their Korean factories are unionized.
I think you actually understand the gist of the argument. Ladder frame vehicles still typically do better at transferring towing loads from the hitch to the wheels. That said, its totally possible to just weld the ladder frame in to the bottom of a unibody and have nearly the same effect.
Hehe - I believe the Kiyundai factories in Korea are all Union shops too...
I have 1 one these in my Opel GT. Its a great little thing! It makes the passenger seat too small though in the tiny little GT.
Yup. Anyone who has lived in a state where you need a block heater already knows how to get an extension cord out to their car all night.
You have to park you car somewhere, right? Wherever it is being parked should have a plug and let you pay for the electricity. Bring parking meters back!
Presumably, you would be charging your car while you are visiting with your mother. That is the intent behind most of the range solutions in electric cars.
If it’s sticking out on an ultra thin aero thing then it’s going to start picking up some high frequency vibrations. It’s good to use a bit of image stabilization to fix that vibration rather than more material which begets more vibration, etc.
