If you want to build a new spot for manure composting, the amount of environmental impact studies which are done is mind boggling. At no cost to me around here, but still it was impressive. They definitely don’t want someone messing with the runoff if they can manage it.

Carbon build up occurs in essentially every engine design. Since direct injection avoids spraying the back of the intake valves with fuel (like port injection), that part of the system in a DI engine never gets the cleaning.

In scientific terms, AVs need only match current accident and road death statistics to be appropriate to implement. In social terms, who knows where the bar is going to be set.

A horse poops something like 40-50 lbs of poop a day (about 3 cubic feet) and pees around 2.5 gallons a day (Source: just built a manure bin). I can only imagine what a 1890s downtown NY street would have looked like with nose to rump horses packing the streets all day.

She’s a character.

Yeah, ‘Top Tier’ fuels all have detergents to prevent carbon buildup - even Costco 87.

For large portions of those sectors, they are the same thing...

That engine knock / premature ignition is the performance going away. Without being able to run at those settings the engine is detuned by the ECU to prevent damage to the system. It usually results in lower fuel economy and lower HP numbers.

VIR and DC are a similar distance as Watkins Glen and NYC...

VIR is ~4.5 hours from DC vs Summit Point which is less than 2. You can go to a track day at Summit Point and sleep in your own bed on each side of the day.

I know a gal - paraplegic - who drives a lifted quad-cab and some big 40 in tires. She has no trouble climbing in or lifting her chair up in to the back seat.

Niro is short range? It has 240 miles of EV range...

There is that fun twisty bit right before you go under 495 on your way out of DC - there is a parallel asphalt trail there where bicycles can safely ride without being in the path of traffic around those blind corners and yet I’d always find a cyclist staying on the road. Granted I think the speed limit there is

My vote was for a Veloster N and a handful of track days at Summit Point. That would be way more fun than just driving in Rock Creek Park or out towards the Naval Surface Warfare Center.

All I’ve got about how big the thing needs to be is that the G35 worked and the Accord is too big - I’ll take that as you really want 2 doors.

I think you’ve got the answer here. The only thing we’re missing are piston diameters in the calipers (I tried to look up P4.42 and M4.38 on Brembo’s site), but its safe to assume that the pad pressures will be close since they are using the same compound on both the fronts and rears.

Bring back full unsprung aero and nuke the wings entirely. That shit only goes weird when the cars are already off the ground.

I just thought maybe ZF was making a bid to bring back 1999.
