The built-in USB outlets in my car a 1 amp, yes.

The CD changer in the radio is more expensive than the Bluetooth receiver. The manufacturers have the same argument but their cost isn’t a sunk cost.

I understand your audio-nerd level appreciation. Appreciating the ‘complete’ art form for some is critical.

They’re all at fault and they’re all paying for it... that’s a corporate apology.

Ah! I completely forgot! Thank you internet stranger for reminding me.

You don’t already own a phone? Cool.

Heh, no worries! Most hybrids are some sort of CVT-ish thing (Prius, Insight, etc).

This is a great mentality to have! I commend you and your family on making a smart choice with how you spend your money. Spend more on getting into a good school district or making memories with family trips rather than having an ‘epic home movie theater!’

I think the devil is in the details - but I agree with your point about the tariffs.

Serious question - why do you need your CD player so much? This is coming from someone who at one point had 1,000 CDs in their house.

A lot of ABS-equipped cars already do this. They just tend to also have TPMS sensors in the tires.

Cool! I ‘knew’ that there was a reason like this but I didn’t have the knowledge to actually know it as a fact. I’ve been on plenty of long grades where I am happy that I can choose a lower gear for engine braking.

My car has 1 amp USB outlets and I tell my screen to be off when plugged in. It charges just fine.

Kiyundai FTW with the cancelable blink! They get a lot of other things wrong, but infotainment / driver controls seem to be pretty perfect IMO.

Nope, DCT. Hyundai Ioniq uses a six speed DCT with KERS and DRS. It's basically a formula 1 car.

Just turn it off bro. Want to really feel the road? Just get rid of the assist. You’ll feel everything!

Quartz is actually pretty cheap - still not as cheap as laminated counter-tops but close.

They aren’t just for rollovers. Those pillars are a part of the space frame of the vehicle which is what keeps you safe in any high-energy accident. That rigid passenger cell relies on a strong roof and side pillars for strength... Its also lighter to build a strong box than an open C channel.

Oh, this is a big one that I totally forgot about. I’ve mailed 4 bricks to Sirrus at this point and I’m only about a year into ownership of this car.
