Serious question for anyone who knows: would a towing mishap like this be covered under comprehensive insurance?

Based on my most recent car buying experience and visiting about 8 different dealers to test drive a half dozen different models, my anecdotal take is that it’s totally hit or miss. About half the salesmen knew their shit (like your crew) and half didn’t know the difference between a turbo 4-cylinder engine and a

What exactly is the point of wasting time on a bill that you know has zero chance of beating a filibuster? I'm not a big fan of Democrats, but Republicans really are to blame for the gridlock (with Manchin's help, as he has also stated he won't overturn the filibuster rule).

I’m pretty sure that Raphael and several other writers on here have 0 knowledge of how any manufacturing or industry in general operate or the constraints placed upon them.

Ineed, and the ironic part is that AWD doesn’t help with steering or stopping in the snow and ice. I grew up in Indiana where it was not unusual to see lots of big SUVs on the side of the highway and sometimes overturned. I think AED/4WD gives a lot of people a false sense of security in winter conditions.

COTD.

This headline & article is one of the most clickbaitey absolute bullshit things I've read on Jalopnik, which is really saying something.

Indeed, Ford’s marketing people could even show it off wearing a personalized license plate with a catchy slogan alluding to the future. Something along the lines of “A NU START”, perhaps?

Gross.

Spamfeller already said it better than I could, but there are definite advantages to using transmissions in EVs, especially for something like a wrangler. Better efficiency at high speeds, better rock crawling ability, the ability to use a modestly sized motor... The Taycan has a 2-speed transmission and Tesla

I was in full agreement until your rant about "idiot auto engineers".

We (Nevada) have a much more progressive government than most realize. We just passed an amendment to our state constitution that requires 50% of all our electricity be generated by renewable by 2030. Therefore, I don't think it's completely outside the realm of possibility that we pass a similar law banning ICE cars

Ineed, electric work vans and heavy duty trucks for tradesmen and delivery personnel makes all the sense in the world, especially for those who work in cities.

I dig it and I hope it sells well. Having said that, I hope this helps trickle down the tech to less fancy, more affordable trucks in the near future for us plebs. Fingers crossed that the upcoming Chevy and Ford EV trucks are reasonably priced. I just want a basic electric truck that doesn’t cost more than house what

Have you seen their budgets? They DGAF what's in production cars.

Yes, but this article is about the future of F1. Although I don’t think it was explicitly stated by this gentleman from Renault, I am assuming like most that he was referring to using hydrogen for an ICE engine for F1. Formula-e already uses batteries for electric motors, so it doesn't make much sense for F1 to switch

There are also ICEs that run on hydrogen, which is used as the combustible fuel in place if gasoline/ethanol/diesel.

Indeed, the fact that the gas tax in the U.S. isn’t even adjusted for inflation and has remained the same since the 90s is shameful.

I agree with you. Ideally no one would have to work overtime at all, but given the extra workload and the fact they are being paid OT I agree this isn’t that bad. The fact that they’re paying OT gives the company incentive to end the longer weeks as soon as possible.

Except that (as others have pointed out) California state government only has control of approx. 3% of the forests within their border.
