Oh wow, I didn’t know that. That’s like the inverse of what they did with the V6 models. Well at least that means you got a nice car! I love my premium EB coupe. Also, I love that color. It was my second choice after competition orange.

I don’t think it’s overstock so much as it’s just that Ford makes and sells a shitload of these things. I still don’t understand why there is such a difference between the MSRPs and what you can buy them for if you’re great at haggling. I also don’t understand why the Mustangs compete so well in price with the 86…
I love my ecoboost Mustang. Having said that, if you’re leaning toward a GT you should get pricing on one from a few dealerships, as well. Mustangs are discounted heavily at the right dealerships, and that includes the GTs.
Same here. I cross-shopped the EB Mustang and FR-S (plus a GTI & WRX) and went with the EB Mustang. Even putting the performance numbers and price aside, it was the only car out of the bunch that just seemed right. The FR-S turned in a bit better, but the Mustang felt more premium, had more cool stuff, waaaay more…
I didn’t know that about the BRZ. I think the single trim level on the 86 is a legacy of the Scion branding, as Scion products were basically sold as one trim level and you could add a few accessories at the dealer.
Not the same. The ecoboost performance package is just a factory option selected when ordering, as opposed to an 86 turbo-kit which would of course be aftermarket (unless Subaru or Toyota is selling one now, which I would be wary of considering the reliability issues they had with their TRD turbo bolt-on for the tC).
Everyone knows that GT350R’s don’t actually exist, except in video games and car reviews.
Dude, 50/100/50 is actually pretty high as far as minimum limits in the U.S. go. Just take a look at Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania as a few examples. It’s mind-boggling:
$38k for an ecoboost convertible? That thing must have had almost every option box checked. Also, yeah the depreciation on them is crazy. I’m not too worried about it myself, only because I plan on keeping my ecoStang forever (fingers crossed no one plows into my car).
According to everything I’ve read, almost all the cars sold in UK (not necessarily representative of Europe as a whole, I know) were GTs. The people who were waiting to buy Mustangs could afford the V8 and the massive petrol bills that come along with them.
I agree, except that you should also budget approx. $500 for a bigger intercooler, as the stock one can get heat-soaked (especially if you’re tuned).
Don’t forget to add kerosene.
I need validation from the hip youth hipster counterculture. On account of my diabeetus. It’s still cool to drive a Prius, right?
I had one too! I mean, I uh...currently have one! Yup. I’m still hip. Right?
RIGHT??!
A WWII German Luger would be my guess/hope.
This scares and excites me. Actually, nevermind, just the former.
This looks like something either Bender or Fry would draw. +1.
The overpass was felled in a controlled demolition to hide Vince Foster’s body.
I was gonna say Tavarish probably got a great deal on it, but then again this looks more like a David Tracy project.
My 4th grade teacher told me never to let a stranger touch me in my ubuntu. That’s inside my no-no square.
