Damn good write-up. I’m close to a few romance authors and this has been like a soap opera since 2 days before X-Mas. As a generally interested outsider, the thing that struck me right off the bat was that people keep talking about the “leadership” and “leaders” but ... nobody seems to be able to say exactly *who*

Not good.

Seems you guys are the last Gawker property still doing this kind of journalism. I guess we should really enjoy these while it lasts.

That’s what I’m thinking too. The people most likely to pay for this are the ones who habitually utilize the feature for some reason ... and top of that list are the people who obsess on their team’s K/D.

Aaaaaaaad .... this $20 bit of DLC changes that entirely .... but only for the players who give the publisher money.

Long barrel FTW!

Yeah ... and if you read the article, you will see the author clearly states that fact.

In what way is Kotaku’s characterization inaccurate?

That picture appears to be a pure digital render. I’m pretty sure it’s just a concept drawing.

Holy crap dude .... it is painfully obvious you have never worked a trade job in your life. You actually think that’s a viable toolbox?

Your local plumber sure as hell isn’t going to be using one of these things. Neither is a painter or a package delivery person. Leaving aside that the user segment is more likely to employ some sort of panel van rather than a pickup truck, any professional/commercial user is going to have the same problems with this

Pretty sure the SEC only required him to have a lawyer vet his social media activity.

I would appreciate it if there were any indicator that the engineers had considered real-world usage of modern trucks and come up with a radical design that offers major *functional improvements* over the current status quo. In this case, it feels like the *only* consideration was creating a bold visual aesthetic

Awwww, man. Now Jalopnik too?

Counterpoint: Tesla probably needs to adopt the SAE J1772 / CCS sooner rather than later.

It’s been kind of obvious this would be a problem. An equally obvious solution would be to create a programs that help/incentivize/allow current service station owners to purchase fast charging technology and expand on the infrastructure that already exists.

Brilliant. You can tap into that network of superchargers they will undoubtedly install in all the major national parks and wilderness areas.

That picture confuses the living bajezus out of me. Like, what the hell are we actually looking at here?

I guarantee nobody will use it as a work truck.
