Connor wasn't that bad! Certainly less charismatic and likable than Ezio, sure. If there were three Connor games with no character development I would probably feel the same way, but it was fine. The Kenway subplot was pretty compelling, to me.

They sound cool on paper but in reality I've found those "smart" features in newer TVs to be practically unusable compared to a dedicated media device because of the weak hardware. I don't have time to sit around waiting 10 minutes for a song or movie to load.

Ha, "optional". As if you could ever be properly leveled for content on the class storyline alone. Though at the very least, the tedium is minimized by focusing on the group quests and instances with other players. When there still were a lot of other players...

Someone is actually going to pay money for this. It costs you 5 seconds of your time to walk over and cover the Kinect when not in use, if you're that worried.

The general style of CoD gameplay is more arcade-y, with a focus on fast, close to medium range combat and twitch reflexes. Not to the point of older PC shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament, but still pretty fast paced action gameplay. The single player campaign has always been a big part of CoD, as well.

True, some KOTOR3 content made it into SWTOR, but it just wasn't enough. Plus the conventional MMO quest grinding really detracted from the good stuff.

The first four games were based on parts of Japan. Black/White was New York, and X/Y is France. There's even a Versailles-style palace you can visit :)
