This isn’t at all the same thing, surely you know that

This is Jalopnik, everyone who “makes it” is an asshole

Those scores are likely the high point of their career (academic or otherwise).

I think subarus that have been half assed swapped at the last minute are unreliable. I have an fxt that ive put about 60k on and it hasnt stranded me anywhere.

The roofboxes are hilarious... and dumb.

Oh man, they are complaining about needing coffee to stay awake at 7:30 am. Like thats wayyyy early bro.

I have large plastic totes of car mags off all different kinds in my parents attic, dating back to 1987 or so.

“you’ll always wish that you had, you know, your fun car when you come across a fun road...”

Repairs on Day 1? Road trips are best in a modern car; not an old one. I want to drive, see the country, enjoy the journey. Hanging out at repair shops while I wait for an Advance auto part delivery guy sounds horrible. I’d rather take a rental than a perf car with a fartbox.

Yeah, I noticed that as a teenager. I put glass packs on my AMC with a 360 (bet David is familiar with that engine). Sounded cool for short drives around the area.

“There are some drawbacks. Like fuel economy.”

And? They’re still useless lowlifes, who owe their success to Kimmy taking it up the poop chute on a leaked video. Classy. You must be a superfan.

I don’t understand it, especially when the market is saturated with hundreds of thousands of trucks.

No you are not. Lots of people I knew who had GPAs below 3.0 in Engineering are now earning in the 95th percentile for their given fields. From my experience the good grades don’t necessarily correlate to a high paying job or higher paying positions within a company.

Even used trucks are expensive, and that goes double or triple if you’re looking for one with 4 doors, 4x4, and some decent options.

Shopping for Hondas sucks when you’re tall. Honda assumes tall people’s arms are disproportionately long. I think the worst was a 2nd gen CR-X si I test drove back in the day. I had the seat all the way back so my legs would fit, my head was literally (literally, literally, not 2018 literally) wedged into the corner

Trained monkeys can write better than any of the staff here.

Yea the fact that you can get a manual with the V6 and 4wd is a good selling point. But the Tundra is old and is pretty much left behind. Hell even Nissan gave us a all new Titan with diesel power and an HD model.

It annoys me that the Element isn’t around anymore. It is basically the perfect vehicle for this exact situation, one in which I’m sure lots of us find ourselves in. Sure, get that Transit van, but at the end of the day it’s a cargo van designed for commercial customers, not a family friendly SUV designed for the

I really wanted to like the Element back when it was new. Being 6'6" I was excited for all that head room. The leg room was terrible though, at least in the driver’s seat. Shopping for cars sucks when you’re tall.
