I go the NFL in London when I can, last year the largest man I have ever seen (like width wise) wearing an Eagles jacket with a blue lives matter badge yelled at everyone in our section for not taking our hats off for the US anthem. Like bro, it isn’t even our song. No one too our hats off for our anthem either,

even more who should have been fired for domestic assault charges etc. They don’t get charged because it gets covered up.

the police haven’t speculated about whether he decided to kill her or he happened to start shooting where she was and it was a coincidence. But if this a coincidence then it’s a fucking huge one.

The fact his sister is one of the very first victims seems like it can’t be coincidence. But then again humans don’t deal well with coincidence. He dropped her and her boyf (some reporting says maybe his best friend) off in the area, got separated and then hours later shot a load of people and the two of them happened

I hate the conflation of terrible unthinkable actions with mental illness.

one classmate alleged that “boys will be boys” was the whole way it was dealt with. It was a kill list and a rape list. Kill the boys, rape the girls. This guy needed a huge amount of treatment and probably a secure unit so he couldn’t hurt people.

constantly we are being told it’s just a few bad apples without anyone acknowledging the saying is “a few bad apples spoils the bunch”

It’s insane to consider it justice. How is it better to pretend the jury is infallible than to have an actual murderer in prison?

I think in the Women’s Soccer it’s to do with the barriers for entry to coaching for women, the fact it’s seen as the lesser game to coach and sexism in general. Ellis wasn’t great tactically but she also had the advantage of the most talented squad in the world and that covers most sins.

I know but also, I was sad and am still sad.

The really big issue in the women's game is the managers/head coaches are not a great standard. 3/4 of the WC Semi Finalists mamagers were criticised for being poor tactically and not always prioritising form and ability over big names.

Froome’s father and maternal Grandparents are British, he’s a passport holder. Still not English though.

the constant conflating of the two is annoying. I’m English but I know sure as fuck G is Welsh.

No where in this article was it claimed anyone was British, they claimed they were English which neither are. Both are British. Froome holds a British passport, his father is British and his maternal Grandparents are too, chose to compete for Britain at a young age.

This is factually incorrect. Thomas is Welsh, Froome is British but was born in Kenya and has never competed for England in any events where England is considered a competing nation. Only one Englishman has ever won the Tour and that is Bradley Wiggins in 2012.

it’s the single most perfect final shot. There will never be better.

I’ve never watched the final episode because I got spoiled and I can’t let it be over. If I never watch that last episode then it’s not over. I’ll just keep starting from the beginning.

I have begun to think that spoilers make the viewing experience more interesting. I find the second viewing of a show is usually the best one.

Pugh is fucking great, so you know at least one spot is in safe hands! The thing about golden generations is they end and often they were so golden that the next gen hasn’t developed within the system, you are at least in an ok spot with the CMs of Lavelle, Mewis and Horan all 25 and under, meaning you’ll have nice

Although it’s pricier in the States, it’s similar in the UK or at least it was. Many of the England Lionesses have stories about parents driving them 2-3 hours each way after work/school and on weekends to train at the only decent club nearby. It was sweat and time equity over money that a lot of parents had to put
