An easy way is to think of fuel mileage for anyone who has towed before. I take my car to a track once a year that’s about 4-5 hours away. The truck with no trailer usually gets maybe 16-20 mpg on the highway depending on the conditions at the time. Put an 8.5' x 20' wind brake behind it (it’s a V-nose, but still not

BITCH BITCH BITCH

(It’s worth mentioning that many ZJ diehards say the vehicle’s transmission failures are due entirely to owner neglect).

As crazy as that looks, if you walk up and down the line and talk to owners waiting, I bet not one of them will tell you they regret their purchase. I drove from Portland to Seattle on Thanksgiving and charged in Centralia for about 30 min. It’s not THAT big a deal, it’s something I understand and expect, and I’m

you have to redo your house’s electrical system to install a single 240v plug? how do you dry your clothes?

The cold hard truth is that the E-Tron simply isn’t very competitive against Tesla unless you simply must have an “SUV” form factor (and even then, it bumps up against the Model X price wise). Range isn’t great, and it doesn’t have a fast charge infrastructure to back it up like Tesla does. There is a population of

the Model 3 is too quick for ya? understandable.

Looking forward to 17 more Cybertruck posts this weekend. Funny how you guys can’t stop writing about something you dislike so strongly.

For better or worse, Musk has brass balls to try a stunt like that, even if it wasn't a smashing success

I do not like Elon Musk. I think he is a snake oil salesman. I think his bait and switch deposit scheme on the cheap model 3, and his method of acquisition for Solar City should both be investigated.

are you a joke? or just deliberately being ignorant?

I agree that it is not ugly. It is also not beautiful. I’d say its striking, and different.

The more I look at it, the less ugly it gets.

It’s possible that the alternatives will be out. But, its also equally plausible that they are overpromising as well. But the two greatest advantages Tesla has is in the batteries themselves and the chips they are using to manage the batteries and the system. The Murray Associates teardown stated that the build was

Im pretty excited for long range electric pick ups to haul motorcycles and snow gear. Im pretty excited for the Rivian and Bollinger but the prices are way up there for me to justify.

I like how you point out the over promises(legit complaint) but totally ignore the actual delivery. Tesla has accomplished almost everything they have promised. EVERYTHING. Not always exactly in the timeframe promised, sometimes over budget and more expensive than promised but they deliver.

Now playing

It’s not ugly, it’s different. Very different.

Maybe Elon should have taken his presentation time to actually talk about the practical things like this instead of having mad max rejects throw ball bearings at windows?  Just a thought.  (Tesla stock holder very upset at Elon’s shenanigans)

I’m surprised that no one is talking about the fact that an EV truck with a huge battery and a 240v outlet means you have a ready-to-go, zero modification way to connect the vehicle to a home’s generator tie. The ~120KWh battery would be enough juice to power the typical american’s house for 2 or 3 days.

It looks like it’s not just kneeling at the rear, but also on its tippy-toes at the front.
