Dammit. I want my primary car to be electric, but I road trip frequently enough that I can’t foresee buying anything without 300+ miles of interstate range. I drove my old Mercedes E320 CDI over 700 miles (a full tank of diesel) without stopping on more than one occasion - stopping every 2.5 hours to charge for 30

My i3 lease is wrapping up at the end of December and I was desperately hoping this would be ready by then, an attainable-enough electric hatchback with respectable performance and range is the perfect car for me. I like Volvo enough and trust them to pick up from where BMW inexplicably decided to leave off and stop

Seems like it would be competitive for maybe $50-55K in the US (because you get the $7500 tax rebate).

Noted for its absence: the price of the car

I guess GM has a long memory, after Patrick’s Camaro incident.

Have any of the above stuffed a GM press car into a barrier?

Yah, the only sentence with those three words that makes sense is:

But the issue is that Teslas can be charged at home. Every house can be a charging station. Most apartments near me have them as well now. Teslas would be dead on arrival if they could only be charged at Superchargers. Hydrogen needs to be almost on the level of gas stations for it to be practical.

Where Tesla cemented their dominance in the alternative fuels race early on is they committed to building an extensive charging network that covers nearly the entire US.

Take your star for “quatrofolienflameblowupanello” you magnificent bastard

Believe it or not, there are chemical treatments that can neutralize the oxidation without changing the appearence, and then you seal it with a matte clear a coat. So you maintain the “patina” without the continued rusting.

Seriously. A Miura body on a P100D chassis would be insane.

Damnit. I want this. To me this thing is cooler then any 6+ figure car I’ve ever seen (in person or in print). I never felt bad that I couldn’t afford the latest Ferrari quatrofolienflameblowupanello or whatever but the want for this thing right here is emanating from deep within my loins.

Coming from Volvo, I expect the infotainment system and electronics to be crap. (And no, I’m not a Tesla fan).

Username checks out

We have a few in my area. I see more Infinitis than I see Alfa Romeos, but I also see more Teslas than either combined.

Wall street is pretty dumb

You said you would make 5 billion dollars this quarter and you only made 4.9989 billion. Dropping your stock price by 50% - Wall Street.

Ya know....in the age of Porsche charging $5k for a clock or Ferrari charging $30k for a paint job, I’m gonna let this pass. At least this is cool.
