I get what you’re saying. But my take on is that he’s more of a “free love” type and we just haven’t seen that side yet.

Here’s some comments plucked from a single Facebook thread on the announcement posted by a local comic store.

I also didn’t use the capital “G”.

Then there’s the people who would say that, by the fact that you can touch them, see them, maybe even smell them, they’re not gods. Interdimensional beings, magical creatures, evil entities sent to destroy are way of life, etc, etc. But they’d never get a capital “G”.

Can Rajnikanth play Jafar?

And we’re ignoring the fact that it rubs its ass on your head? It’s phrenology meets proctology.

Looks to me like the artist had Mary Elizabeth Winstead in mind.

And BERlin, NH.

That’s how Spider-Man started in the comics, as a high school student.

Difference of opinion. It would show that a man can have sex with other men and still be masculine and a hero, a good guy. To have him suddenly be a double agent would be contrived and unbelievable.

That could be the best Bond movie ever!

I think it would be more interesting and fitting if Bond was bi. We just haven’t seen “that side” of him...

No, I don’t think I can explain that to you.

Do you not recognize that white culture has appropriated, belittled and subsumed other cultures for centuries? That’s not even addressing actual genocide; I’m just talking about culture. And that maybe, just maybe, we can chill for a bit and let people with more melanin have their own thing?

No. Cultural Appropriation is taking aspects of a culture and pretending they’re your own. This is celebration of a culture that has long been ignored, belittled, or subsumed.

See the “22 hours” comment from James. They couldn’t possibly wait that long between takes.

Marvel movies are “Historical Documents”.

But what about your internet connection? What speed do you have and how much does it cost? That’s often not included in articles about cord cutting. These boxes and services need a high-speed connection and in my area, that’s Comcast and it’s not cheap.

And let’s not gloss over the fact that they think being short is a curse.

Yep. Ruined my day.
