She’s not my brand of biscuit, but I am from the South, and this is a region that still embraces Lily Pulitzer. I’m sure her stuff sells to the country club set. I was actually disappointed she couldn’t construct better, since her style was so different from everyone. We get it, you’re European, you like black. I

My first thought was Peter Abernathy. Family feelings plus charismatic leader of a cannibalistic cult seems about with this Hale’s whipsaw of emotional states.

I thought it was interesting that they chose to freeze Thandie Newton’s face on “sad” rather than “avenging.” It was like Maeve had just enough time to spot the freeze button, use her super brain to process what it would do and make “this-fucking-AGAIN?!?” face about it. I’d be so mad. I’d 100% agree to be in team

I hate to say it, but the Miami makeover is probably the best outfit Jake has ever had. (He is generally dressed badly, is what I’m saying.)

My dad would legit rob his retirement fund to go to WW2 World.

I’m bummed. I had a badge for the EDU part and now I gotta go to the office like a schmuck.

(P.S. He does have kids--or at least one--but your point is very valid.)

. . . and they just had a baby, FFS! How about y’all have a couple nights of uninterrupted sleep and reassess. I can just picture it, she’s sitting on couch, nursing, probably after working all day, and he sidles up, So . . . if you’re gonna be sitting there anyway . . .

Can’t. Wait.

Man, I miss Splinter.

I’d loved Stevie Wonder’s “Overjoyed” for years but only recently figured out it was a dude who had built an elaborate romantic fantasy when he’d never even spoken to the lady and he was about to vomit to her all of his expectations and it was up to her to respond positively. I cannot imagine how that would end well.

I recommended B99 to a friend, who started watching and then reported back that she quit because she couldn’t stomach the workplace harassment. I went back to the first season and completly understood what she was talking about and said I thought that the show got a lot better about it later. It’s amazing that six

I cried so much . . . ‘til I saw Pillboi. Then I entertained myself imagining how the rest of his life as a kindly drug-cocktail-counseling elder-care worker rolled out until he passed in a sufficiently Florida Man way: Maybe meth-enraged manatee learns how to operate a sawed-off dropped in a swamp? (I’m from Georgia,

Sigouney Weaver’s handmaiden of the patriarchy sctick was THE BEST.

There was a sad cuck letter on here last year, I think., and the dude was moaning how his wife WHO WAS RAISING TWO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF FOUR just wasn’t putting in the effort to find to dudes to fuck for his titalation. I was like, fuck this idiot--you’re in luck for the next few years if she brushes her hair. Do

I lived in Mexico Pre-Kindle days and had picked a used copy of The Pickwick Papers. We took turns reading it a chapter a week with other English speakers and students and professors who wanted to practice and with the right speaker it was pretty funny. (Also, our town didn’t have a movie theater.)

I was with friends in New Orleans at a karaoke bar about half way through a bucket of beers when the DJ started his cover of Prince’s “Kiss.” This was MY song. So I popped up, be-bopped over to the DJ and politely explained that it was MY song, took away the microphone and finished the purple one’s greatness.

Huh. I pointed that out to the article and am now even more embarrassed of my hometown.

Regular Hallmark (we’re not monsters.)

I would one-hundo watch a show about getting rid of toxic stuff in houses. “First stop, Flint, Michigan!” Would be the first season.
