I feel as though there just needs to be a disclaimer at the top of every review: This is not and will never never never never never Xs infinity be as good as the 60 year old book which is basically the bestest thing ever, period.

I didn’t get the jump scare criticism. There are a couple ‘reveals’, but they were somewhat telegraphed and deliberate. This isn’t particularly scary (I’m 3 episodes in) but I like the performances and atmosphere. It’s neither stifling or horrifying,  but I enjoy it.  It’ll be interesting to see how much time is spent…

I keep hoping the Coen Bros are just sitting on something they know he'll he perfect for.

Is she that 'nice', though?  I've no doubt she's a genuinely good human being, but... She wrote for The Office.  That show ultimately had heart, but I'd never call the sense of humor 'nice'.

So, his 10 best performances start with Raising Arizona and Wild at Heart. Everyone else is playing catch up, IMO.

I hate King Cheeto. But the first several seasons of this show were fantastic. I was skeptical more because it looked bad from the ads than she voted for Trump. But while the cast was a bit rusty (as noted in the review) it was much better than anticipated.

My wife is into She & Him, so I’ve gotten to listen to them plenty. From what I hear, her voice seems to have gotten better over the years. Also, contrary to my earlier assumptions, she is actually the songwriter of all of their original material.

Bruh. She lives in LA. It rains, like, 3.7 times a year there. She was logically shocked that it was actually raining.
