1. A replacement caddy probably shouldn’t be valued the same as a personal caddy.

Perfect combo of network vs. success vs. cast, perhaps. People watch the show, it’s super easy to binge, the cast is down, and the show isn’t so successful that it gets too expensive to make.

Lost Whitworth and Zeitler not long after losing Marvin Jones and Mohammed Sanu.  Just a strafing they took in FA.  (Not to mention losing Zimmer and Gruden to HC positions). 

My conspiracy theory is that OSU didn’t practice for any other opponent for the last 4 weeks, and only worked on Michigan. Explains why they’ve looked awful until today.

I don’t disagree. They still have occasional episodes like that, and I find them more interesting but... I dunno. It almost seems negligent to NOT get into this stuff. Sure, Cheeto is obviously a lie spewing garbage person who is an undeniably massive black eye for this nation, but...sometimes you gotta hold your nose…

Not 100% sure it hasn’t been mentioned, but “Kilkelly, Ireland” is pretty front to back devastating.

I’d reccomend trying the Vulture reviews. The writer over there (who straight up wrote a biography on Shirley Jackson) notes an initial skepticism at the series, but doesn’t insist on dwelling on the differences every review.

I think ‘maiden name’ may necessitate marriage? Nell in the book was not married, so Vance is just her birth name. (Or name). This Nell got married, so... maybe the recapper is just playing with semantics?

I suppose it’s more sci-fi than horror, but In the Year 2525 always leaves me unsettled.

He can enjoy his money AND offend anonymous internet commentators with his pretty middle of the road observations. He’s so rich he could probably actually be offensive, too.  But I get the sense that he’s too bored by everything to muster an authentically offensive take.
