We had it wrong.
We had it wrong.
It sounds like it fell like a flat barbell, with something heavy on each end.
It’s long enough, but there normally wouldn’t be much mass at the top end to create a similarly sized crater as the engines. Unless some extra payload was mounted there. They didn’t say it broke in two, they said the mass had two major concentrations, separated by 14m. One was the engines.
I think the appearance is actually the most minor part of the whole thing. We’ve already seen that variants can look like Toby Maguire, Andrew Garfield or Tom Holland, not to mention all the versions of Loki we got in season 1.
Yeah, this is the issue with Majors if Marvel decide to move away from him - he’s very, very good. And whilst I’ve liked Washington in everything I’ve seen him in, he’s always been a more...considered presence, where all the Kang variants we’ve seen have been larger than life. That’s not to say he couldn’t do the…
I don’t entirely disagree, but while it certainly fell into the trap of a unnecessarily over-the-top CGI-fest finale, even then it stood out by featuring two cool giant dragons instead of yet another selection of generic scifi explosions. Plus, as MosBen mentions, even in the midst of all that, it never lost sight of…
Said it before, I’ll say it again - John David Washington. Who’s great in and of himself, but comes with the bonus of them being able to cast Denzel as older variants.
So you believe the CBR story but not the Deadline one? Okay. That's certainly something. That's like believing the Daily Mail over the BBC.
Perhaps, though the other side of that coin is that people constantly complain about how they don’t want to watch some Marvel project because of the perceived “homework” required, so this is a way to tell people that it’s ok to watch this one even if you’ve missed a few movies or shows because it’s fairly…
I’m pretty sure Marvel is just waiting as long as possible to see what happens to Majors. Recasting him should be easy. After all, if Loki can be a woman, Richard E Grant, or an alligator, then Kang can be Not Jonathan Majors.
Shawn was pretty shredded in that movie
Well that is something we agree on: the commentariat definitely is dominated by loud extremes where everything is either the best EVER or is a sin against mankind.
I’m liking the TV stuff, like Andor and to a lesser extent Asokha. New movie though? You’d have to have someone willing to break some rules...and be publicly flogged for it.
Yeah, “phoned in” is very much the wrong diagnosis. If anything, he brought too much, not too little.
Also, if you seriously think that superhero films are the major thing standing between us and a better domestic and/or global political situation, I really don’t know what to tell you.
I don’t think it was phoned in I just think it was a TERRIBLE mismatch of two VERY different storylines from the books infused with his typical humour (which i usually love) but DID NOT FIT here. Like, I’m a longtime Taika fanboy. Ever since I first sawr “Boy” like, 15 years ago. But I don’t know what he was thinking…
Public turns on them?
I hope not. Not because I don’t like her, or the character, but I think for the MCU to survive long term it needs to make a clean break from all of the OG Avengers. There have been more stumbles post Endgame than would be ideal, but taking a step backwards like that would really be the death-knell for the whole…
I can’t keep up. It seems like most streaming shows shoot for 5 seasons, but Doom Patrol got the message that this was going to be the last season. The last episode dropped just this last week and I think it sticks the landing.
An app, but depending on the titles you’re reading it might not be what you’re looking for. For a period of time I was using it to read Attack on Titan, since that wasn't on Jump's app.
