I’ve been on the registry since I was 18, almost 20 years. My mom and I watched a made for tv movie about the family who had another kid so that the stem cells in the umbilical cord could be used to help the older daughter. The movie highlighted the registry, which was only a few years old at the time, and I added

I wonder if this sort of crap is why my Japanese Granny had such a hate toward Buddhists. It’s a hard thing to put into perspective when I’ve only know crunchy granola hippy Buddhists.

I have no idea. I was somehow able to resist and now I feel relieved.

I wasn’t advicating for her to not do anything or not call the cops.

My Grandmother had a similar angel story, nothing quite as dire though.

Unfortunately hanging out and being creepy is not a crime.

Your step dad was a jerk and I’m glad your mom kicked him out!

My husband is diabetic. After his dad died he had a hard time maintaining his blood sugar for a while. Emergency services had to be called four times in six months. Twice it happened while he was asleep. He would wake up because something was wrong but, if it happened while he was dreaming, he would stay in a dream

Well, famous people don’t have to do the page by page searching. Producers hand off the info and the famous just go meet with the record keepers and archivists. I’m sure that cuts a lot of time because they can work the trail a bit and have all these people lined up so that the famous person takes a few days to go

I like that show. My Mom is a geneologist. Finding the stories of people you have a distant connection to is pretty cool, even when those people were not the best people or did not make the best decisions. None of us are the people we are related to and I like the way the show pulls back and shows the context of some
