My daughter’s cat makes a yowly noise when he’s upset. He would do it at the dog when we first introduced them. I started saying, “No, no no,” whenever he did it because it was a very ‘O’ sound. He got upset in the middle of the night soon after and woke me up by yelling, “NO NO NO.” under my bed. I stopped trying to

I lost my favorite cat about 15 years ago and he still visits. None of the current cats sleep in my bed and I usually shut the door when I go to bed, but I feel him jump up and settle next to me on the bed. Sometimes I reach over to pet him before I realize that he isn’t going to be there.

People stories are always scarier than the paranormal stories.

I’m so glad. I really enjoyed it and the Pandemic left us with a huge cliff hanger.

I came here to say this.

We had a tempered glass tv stand. The tv is mounted to the back, but the shelves had all the cable boxes, Tivo, DVD player, modem, and whatever else we had hooked up to the TV. I was binging Supernatural and right in the middle of the episode with the first encounter with the trickster, the top shelf exploded. There

I’ve seen a few where things were described as “looking like a little girl, but its not.” I think most things probably can be taken at face value and the stuff that shouldn’t be usually reveals itself as being more dangerous.

Family lore from several generations back - My Grandma’s cousin died very young. I think she was 6 or 7. She drew several pictures of angels in the trees outside and told her mom all about them one afternoon. She developed a fever that night and died the next morning.

We went to Hawaii for our anniversary this summer. I overheard the funniest conversation at the airport. A young 20 something couple were fussing at each other. She said, “I can’t believe you threw the rocks out of my bag! I was going to take those home. Where did you leave them?

I have one, too, but he was mine when he was alive. It’s been about 15 years since he passed and he still hangs out. I frequently feel him jump onto my bed in the dark and realize there is no cat there.

There’s a bar I sometimes go to that has a few of those wander back and forth kind of ghosts. Last time I was there on a quiet night, I realized one was trying to get my attention and I noped back to a more populated area. It truly looked like a real person walking by while I looked at my phone but completely

My brother worked at a natural history museum in high school. The break room was in the basement and he swore a passed director would drift in and read over his shoulder while he was on his lunch break.

This is why I want a speak-easy door. Then I can open a little door and tell people to get off my porch.

This popped up because someone liked it today so I’ll give you an update: the asshole abuser died in prison last year. Despite being the youngest, my friend has her shit together more than her older brother and her sister lives out of state, so she had to deal with arrangements and all the crap that goes along with

I am not a fan.

I really only use the big one for broiling nachos, giant batches of sausage balls, and roasting the turkey twice a year, but it is very nice when we do have use for all of them.

It happens. That’s why I volunteer to have holidays at our house. That and we bought a house with 3 ovens.

Two of the strongest, smartest, most bad ass women, that I have known since my early 20s, were both victims of domestic violence and were eventually physically abused on a regular basis. It sneaks in. It starts with undermining and gaslighting and ends with thinking that you deserve every blow. I thank the gods that

My first gluten free Thanksgiving was like that. I was forced to eat some of the broccoli rice casserole, despite never liking broccoli rice casserole or eating it before because my mom made it gluten free. As soon as I swallowed my two bites, she was suddenly unsure if cheese whiz was gluten free. (The answer is

Yeah, I have a few things in my child hood that, if that happened to my kid, the police would be called or we would have gone to the emergency room. It makes me question my mom’s judgement a lot.
