As someone who goes on io9 every day I have to say that that's not true. The community over there is usually very good, and there's been some really interesting conversations there. There are trolls of course, but they're usually ignored once it's clear that's what they are. Tasteless, if legit, questions are usually

That's just wrong. I never understood what being good at sports had to do with education either though. Unless they study sports science or something. Also, see my reply to cynicalsow.

Thanks for making me really happy to be Norwegian. Again.

Yeah, just a bit. Especially the one for little girls. Ugh!

I know that, I just don't count them because hardly anyone except the contestants really care. I have no idea who won this year, or if they even did it yet.

Could someone please explain to me the point of beauty pageants? I'm European. We don't really have them. Seems to me those girls would do better to spend their energy on sports (if they're competitive) or education or politics (if they want to be successful and/or make a difference) or reality tv (if they want to be

Rugby players! Ah, reminds me of uni. I went to an agricultural/sports science campus in Gloucestershire... Those guys were morons (they were doing degrees in Rugby Studies!), but some of them were very nice to look at.

"Never supplicate to women – Men are the rightful leaders. When you give your power over to a woman you are truly a vile little specimen. Women don't deserve undo praise and they certainly do not deserve everything men deserve. You've got to be the leader of your woman."

It includes everything that isn't in pure form. For example, there are a lot of gold and silver based salts in seawater. And a lot of those big chunks of hydrogen and oxygen are present as water, like the carbon is in organic matter.

Chong Kneas is very popular with tourists. I didn't go there, but I did go to Kompong Phhluk which is supposed to be nicer. It's not floating, but stilted. Less crowded though, and very beautiful. The Tonlé Sap isn't very deep so they don't need the boats in the dry season.

Could be but it sounds really weird...

Government? Quaratine? That's not in the book, and it's not mentioned at TV Guide either. So where did it come from?

All I see is lots of pictures of skin. What's so bad about that?

Just echoing the others to say that "33" is an insanely good 40 minutes of television. You should watch the pilot to get the background though. I missed it first time round and I was pretty confused for a while.

fun. and Gotye were good radio tunes until they were played three billion times. Titanuim is pretty catchy. Good for spin class. And so it Euphoria. The rest can curl up and die, and I never listened to any of the list on Spotify!

My conclusion:

Kind of agreeing about BSG. Though Emilio is right, and Airlock Laura is worth a lot.

This is science fiction! Isn't this science fiction? If not my head just exploded.

I'd love for Myrcella to end up on the throne. Maybe everyone will just write her off and she'll end up winning the whole thing and actually ruling well!

George RR Martin already licenced his Dunk and Egg tales for graphic novels. Maybe at some point he'll do the main books too. :)
