Mars is pretty small compated to Earth so the horizon is much closer than what you'd expect. Plus maybe there's a ridge that makes it seem even closer. It's the rover tracks.

Wonder if the robots party in the timeslip...

I know. Ender's Game has be crying all through the ending, Speaker for the Dead has me crying through the entire book.

Well, Older Jeremiah did metion he went into filmmaking and he did edit this video... So it probably didn't run that way at all.

That actually sound pretty much in keeping with Martin's style. Goodness, I'm sad about the ending already...

Well at least he bad guy dies in Pan's Labyrinth and they make sure his legacy won't pass on. The bastard!

I'm 29, do I count? Answer is no for my sake. Pretty worried for my future kids and grandkids though. Hope they're smarter than the current world order.

Oh no, I've been trying to not think about that!

But he finds the Hive Queen at the end, so there's plenty of hope for the future. Poor Ender though. If this was a list of the most tragic child characters in SF/F he'd definitely be up there.

Kraken is good fun but the language will keep me from rereading that book for a long long time...

Yeah. Still left me with a strong desire to stay away from Margaret Atwood's books for a while.

There's a bit in 1984 that does that too though. That whole history section on Newspeak is obviously written by somebody in the past after the regime has fallen.

You forgot The Handmaid's Tale. Possibly the most disturbing and depressing book I've ever read.

It's a short book but it has enough separate adventures in it to warrant two movies to do it properly. Now if only Peter Jackson had gone to HBO to do LoTR... Not that the movies weren't great but they had to cut so much!

He looks much more kick-ass than I ever imagined him though!

Mmmm Aidan Turner... Need bigger picture...

My thought exactly...

Lol! I don't know about you, but my three related articles were 200 tons of dead sardines, Creepiest Wizard of Oz photo you'll ever see and Woman yanks 4-foot tape worm out of her throat. Very fitting.

The first time I remember hearing specifically about a zombie virus was in 28 Days Later. But being bitten has never been a good thing though...

I don't understand you. Do you mean to say that everything after Romero is separate because he originated the epidemic type of zombie? Were zombies only about magic and curses before that? i haven't seen White Zombie btw...
