I recently changed my location on OkC from my current city to the city I'm moving to next month. Because I'm "new" for that area, I've been inundated with messages from guys, and what floors me is that 100% of them have been from guys I'm less than a 60% match with... many are so dissimilar from me that they say

I am very guilty of this. In fact, I have been known to answer calls from female friends and roommates with the eloquent, "'sup, bitch?"

Do you have a Dress Barn in your area? I know the name sounds awful, but they actually have some pretty cute stuff sometimes, and my mom (who is pretty fashionable and good at dressing professional) got most of her work clothes there for years, whether she was wearing a size 12 or a size 20.

I was pretty much a feminist from the moment I hit puberty.

I went in when I was pretty out of shape and could have done the full trick if not for my fear of heights XD but also I found the basic trick (swinging out then hanging upside down from your knees) required more core strength than anything else.

Awesome! I'm kind of interested in doing it sometime. The place where I live that gives aerials lessons also does trapeze, and I did a trapeze lesson with them once... but it was a bit intense for me. Sadly, I'm moving away and I don't think my new town has an aerials place.

Dear ex I just Facebook stalked because Facebook asked me if I knew you,

It's certainly cognitive bias, but I do tend to think that people who have kids right after high school have wasted some of their potential. I don't think there's anything wrong with having kids - after you're settled into life and a job and can provide for their care. But in the woman's case, I think she gave up on a

Three weeks, basically. :( I've been counting calories, eating non-processed foods, and working out for an hour 4-5x per week for 7 weeks now (cardio and weight training) and I've lost maybe 4 lbs. I say maybe because one day I'll get on the scale and be 150 and then the next week I'll be 153 and the same measurements

Warning: Weight loss-related question/post incoming!

In my experience, other than random happenstance, it works best like this:

Not very good, not horrible either. Neither of us got off. Happened on a twin size mattress on his bedroom floor and then he played a Spiderman video game while I watched.

I mean... this is a young, white lady in Austin. I am a young white lady, and I also live in Austin. I've had a few encounters with APD, and never had any issues. I'll gladly admit that my non-white, non-lady friends have occasionally encountered some very unfair treatment... but nothing to the level of being cuffed

From what I understand, before the video'd portion, the woman in question was told several times to "Stop - Austin Police!" and chose to continue running. It may be that she had headphones in and didn't hear the warning, but either way she was violating the law and did not heed a police warning. Detaining her may be a

What happens to popular kids after high school? Newsflash! Depends on the choices the kid makes.

A boy in my grade in high school was a registered sex offender, because he had raped a friend's 5 year old little sister at a party.

My job is in Rochester, NH! I'm hoping to live in Rochester itself at least at first, but might wind up in Dover or somewhere else nearby eventually. I have plenty of lighter jackets and coats already, but unfortunately you can't get those puffy coats in this part of the state, so I'll have to get one when I get up

Thank you! I know quite a bit of this already - I grew up in the hillier, more isolated part of Texas and it does freeze and ice there sometimes, plus I've visited friends in Chicago in winter.

I don't have a skin care plan at all right now, so... what's up with that? Is this where that "moisturizer" stuff comes in? Does it go on before or after my makeup?

Landed my dream job this week and found out that next month I'll be moving from Texas (where I have lived for always) to New Hampshire.
